Blowing out two special years..
Celebrating my second TI b-day!
In my first blog post ever, I'd like to drink a toast to all of you here at T-I for the two special years I've been privileged to be a part of! No, this is not a goodbye, but a cool birthday party!![]()
Let me take a few moments to look back on my T-I life so far. One thing is for sure, when I registered at T-I on July 25th 2010, I never expected I’d be here today celebrating two amazing years. The way I found T-I was in fact pretty random: I was just looking for an invite to BitMe, and it was good old Google that brought T-I to my attention. I registered and was really getting wild when I saw all the invites people were giving away. However, my enthusiasm was quickly cooled by the introduction process which really seemed like a nasty hurdle to take at the time, so I only decided to go for it after 2 weeksI remember I was very active in some game threads at first, especially the riddle thread. We had so much fun that it became a real hype at a certain point, so that even the staff started to play along and the riddle thread got stickied :) After a few weeks, I dediced I should make myself useful to the community here and so I started working intros. Times were very different back then: TG was lead intro mod, and SB, who repped me in, was just promoted to intro mod. I learned a lot just by going through the intros that had been repped by TG and SB. From that time I really got involved into this forum, and things started to get rolling. After a month I got my cool sword as an intro mod, and two months later I also started working as an area51 mod (the mods with the alien faces :P). It was during this time that I made that notorious Invite Giveaway Guide, which you now all get linked to, when something is wrong with your ratio proofs hehe

On Jan 18th 2011 I was happily surprised to wake up completely red as lead gmod of area 51! I remember how my sleepy eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing :P A few hectic months followed, in which I tried to get area51 into shape, but due to some circumstances, I retired around April 20th. Although I never really left the forum, it was only on April 30th 2012, that I made my comeback to staff as a jr mod, and a month later, on May 31st, I got my cool red ninja suit back
Looking back, I realize that it were the invites that brought me here, but that it was actually the great community and the rewarding work as a moderator that made me stay. Not only have I learned many things about the torrent world, but this forum has also been a great experience and a lot of fun. I’ve also gotten to know and appreciate some special people, and I’d like to take a few moments to thank them.
Kevin: You really are a great moderator, Kev, with many qualities: hard-working, creative, precise, friendly, helpful, and uber-enthusiastic! You also have such a keen eye for all sorts of details that make a really nice and significant difference! Btw did you know we’ve both been gmods for almost 5 months now - so, we need to drink to that soon, bud :P Above all, you’re a great friend! I love the good fun and the nice talks, and really value the implicit trust and mutual understanding. Um abraço, meu amigo![]()
JustJenna: You truly are TI’s First Lady, and T-I would simply not be the forum we all love without your tireless work, immense care, and great quality input. Thank you for loving this forum and this community as much as you do, Jenna! And thank you for being a true and lovely friend to me, who I know I can always count on!
TankGirl: To me you’ll always be the exalted queen of the intros :P We’ve done some great things together, and I’ve learned so many things from you and your eagle eyes, and I still do. I like the passion and the quality, but also the humor you put into your work, and I love the brainstorm sessions! Thanks for always being there when I need help and for being a nice friend.
Copper: Your work and posts really inspire me, buddy. The sheer amount of work you do never stops to amaze me, not only on the forum but also in the IRC! The excellent style and high quality that mark your posts make them as delightful to me as a slice of tiramisù with a strawberry on top :P Thank you for the good talks, the mutual respect, and a nice friendship
Morph: Greetings, Lord of the Romanian Skies, please allow a few humble words of praise from this mortal earthling :P Ah, we had so much fun together, dude :) You were one heck of a mod, and you totally revamped and reorganized the help section with your tireless work and dedication. I hope you’ll come back one day to finish your unvollendete: the master index, unless you, as Michelangelo, take pleasure in the idea of il non-finito ;) Hope you’re enjoying your vacation mate!
Choppers: We had a cool time in intros bro, and it was cool to work side by side as mods. You really did an awesome job in intros and in the help section. I hope you’re doing well, and managed to stay away from the cigarettes ;) Hope you’re enjoying your retirement and enjoy being a dad![]()
F1member: You are an intro miracle, and I really believe you were born with some kind of intro gene :P You are a great mod with an admirable work ethic! Apart from that you’re also a lovely person who I can have fun with. Let me take this opportunity and ban you once more with love along with cherries and whipped cream :P
Pulser: I was happy to see area51 being lead by someone as awesome as you when I was on the sidelines :P I admire your technical knowhow, and great expertise! You’re also a great man to talk to, and your chuckles have already become legendary :P Thanks for the great work, your generous praise, and all your help mate!
el2em: Thanks for your continued support, for all your help, and the good fun! You’re incredible as an admin, a really swift learner, and surely one of the fastest admins I’ve ever seen :P I like your great humor, and admire your quality work on this forum mate

Let the party begin, guys!Take a slice of the special cake Kev has been carefully making, and take a good swig from the great cocktails TG has been mixing with great artistry. Don't forget to taste F1member’s fine Greek cheese pie, and also make sure to take a nice portion of the homemade tiramisu and the stone-baked pizzas Copper was so generous to bring along :P
