Ok, so having been in the "torrenting world" since 2004 and been on almost all decent trackers, i've got to know it quite well.

We all start off signing up to torrent sites with the same common goal. Wanting easier access to a better range of torrents at quicker speeds. However, for many people (especially here at T-I), somewhere along the way, the message gets lost and they end up wanting more trackers due to their 1337less. People seem to forget about content and speed, and instead become more worried about their rarity.
However, believe me, this is a unfulfilling and time-consuming path which eventually leads you to the initial cause of wanting trackers for content and speed once you realise how much bullshit these rare trackers are.

Now, to REALLY get the most out of your trackers in the least amount of time, follow this simple 3 step guide

1. First off, join 2 trackers for each tracker genre (1 for backup) who don't have stringent HnR rules.
My recommendations for the main categories would be:
0-day : TL/IPT/SCC
Music: Waffles/What.cd
HD releases: You don't really need a HD tracker but if you insist, CHDbits is pretty easy to get and is good.
TV: You don't fucking need one. SCC and their archive section or even IPT/TL cover this one just fine
Non-scene content: TL/IPT for those early p2p movie releases

None of these will penalise you for HnR'ing and they can all be gotten quite easily be just asking even if you are a new member here at T-I except for what.cd, which can be gotten by bullshitting your way through their interview quite easily.

2. Now buy a seedbox (a decent unmetered one from somewhere like evoboxes) for 1-2 months max rather then having one for many months which will probably cost you about the same and kill off a shit-ton more time.
This should easily allow you to get 1-5TB one all but the music trackers where you should be able to hit like 300gb given you get a freeleech period.

3. Leech away.

I agree with a fair amount of what you've said TheG but one thing I have to pick you up on is the idea that you don't need a TV tracker. Firstly, I really don't like scene TV releases and will usually wait the extra day or so in order to get the WebRip (which doesn't have any of the annoying in-show network promo crap across the bottom of the screen) which is never available from Scene trackers.

Secondly, Scene might be fine if you're just into American TV shows but the more niche your taste is the more likely you are to need a good TV tracker or two. I don't even find that BTN covers me for all the shows I watch, and as a watcher of English TV, a UK TV tracker is essential for me. You try finding a scene release of an English afternoon gameshow and you'll see what I mean.

Actually SCC does penalize you for HNRs sorry to say and BTN even through all their BS lately is almost a must for any person who really wants TV shows unless you want UK shows I suppose if what Kvothe says is true, but then you can just sing up for TheBox and you'd be all set. I would also go on to say that you only covered the most basic stuff. A lot of Ebooks, software, music videos, or even adult content cannot be found at any of those trackers that you mentioned so you're just generalizing based on your own tastes.

Kvothe you pretty much said all i had to say regarding tv shows. Please tell me you dont watch EastEnders

, I would add that what you say is true for you and its very presumptuous to assume your needs are the same for everyone. As PROXIE has said, you are generalizing for your own tastes. What about MusicVids or Trancetraffic ? Underground ravers or Bitgamer? Underground Gamer? Irish Torrents? PixelHd? All more than decent trackers that you have failed to mention. ComicBt? I could add loads more awesome trackers that you have written off. Don't get me wrong, SCC,IPT,TL are all fine but there is more out there.
See what i mean, you might have been in the torrenting world since 2004 and been on every tracker but you have left out so much i can only assume you haven't been on the best niche trackers at all.
In general for the average torrenter your advice might be fine but not for everybody.

I'm proud to say I've never watched it. My entire Eastenders knowledge comes courtesy of TV Burp.

I'm from the UK so i watch a fair bit of british tv and there is nothing i can't find on TL/IPT. Which shows can't you get your hands on?

SCC has a HnR rule along with TL, but neither of them enforce it.

Everyone needs a few niche trackers but my list was meant to cover general stuff. Like i use a mac so brokenstones is a must.

i don't see why you would need musicvids when you have SCC. I'm on TT and i can't find anything they have that what.cd doesn't. I've been on all the trackers you mentioned except comicbt and irishtorrents. You don't need any gaming trackers in my opinion as SCC seems to cover that section unless you own a mac like me, in which case you need a niche tracker.

Try finding Come D*** W*** M* (can't mention copyrighted material but I assume you'll know what that is) on TL or IPT. Most stuff that falls outside of drama serials, documentaries, and comedy shows doesn't make it onto the general/scene trackers.
