Yes, it is possible! You don't need to beg, you don't need to spend money, you don't need apply for any giveaways. All you need is What.cd
Many private trackers have special invite forums for their PUs and above, but the best i've seen until now is the one What.cd has. They have tons of invites available and it is the best place to go if you are not into F*N, HDBits kinda stuff..

Now i'll tell what you need to do. First of all you need to join to that great music tracker. Luckily they are always open for the interviews.
This mission is not as hard as it seems, just follow the steps below:
1. Go to What.CD: A Beginner's Guide and study for about half an hour.
2. Go to their irc channel and queue for the interview. Here's the link which will be helpful for this step What.CD: A Beginner's Guide
3. Wait for your turn and pass the interview
4. Join the tracker, enjoy music, share and advance to PU

That's it :) You'll gain access to Invites forums as soon as you are a Power User on What.cd. If you ask what kind of invites they offer, i can give some examples and you'll see that totally worth it: PTP, GFT, SCC, BTN, SceneHD, Fux0r, RevTT, PTN, x264, MVids, DB9 and tens of others..

I'd go exactly this way if i wasn't joined to T-I, which I am also thankful for :)

    You will find invites offered in the power user forums of many trackers. A few more examples of trackers where you will find this are PTP, Waffles, LLW, PTN, B*N

    Useful tip! I confirm what has been said.

    And the great thing about what.cd is that the invite section is more of a recruitment section where staffers from other trackers open unlimited-invites-just-ask threads.
    (Unlike some other trackers I'm member of where they do have invite sections for power users and above but it's not sure that you'll get invited when you ask because it depends on whether there are people with invites or not and whether your profile is attractive for them or not)

    lol well you see the problem is more than half of the users here would struggle for a few months getting to power user status there and as copper noted the invites can easily be found in other trackers where one can become PU in much less time. I will agree that many forums are quite messy and dependent on other users, but at least the average user doesn't have to spend months trying to upload 25 gbs at What as an alternative.

    well, you may seem right, but let me tell you a way to get some upload traffic on What.
    They usually have staff picks almost every month which are freeleech. And if you are a music fan like i am, you will be checking What everyday, and the chance to get on those staff picks are way more than 50% ;)
    I caught 3 staff picks in 5 months i've been a member of What. and have more than 150GB uploaded now :) which means - you need to catch just one staff picks to upload 25GB

    I tried this with Bit-HDTV. The problem was there was absolutely no activity there.

    Lol, I did the interview today. Totally flunked, I even know a bit about music encoding If you decide to take this option make sure you know HEAPs about the subjects in the intro page!

    it's all requests lol, yea sure someone every so often gets an invite but you'd have to be really lucky, they're not offered at all, my suggestion would be to get an invite to awesomeHD and reach HD pro class, 75 gb upload, 4 weeks of membership(really easy) then get an invite to what(they have unlimited invites) and reach power user there and you will have access to most trackers that you will ever want, but it will take some hardcore dedication to uploading at what or hopefully get lucky enough to get the staff picks, a seedbox I will say is necessary but the rewards are worth it IMO.

    The awesome-hd route is easy enough at first sight. I got the requirements for hd-pro in 3 days but had to wait for the 4 week membership mark. Once I saw the thread, I felt my heart drop... They wanted 6 MONTHS MEMBERSHIP on awesome-hd...
