Improving your ratio. (Tip)

Hi all this is going to be my first blog. I'm planning on maybe doing it weekly, on random things from little tricks to DIY projects. Just about anything :D
Today I will tell you about a little "trick" I have been using on trackers that are not so easy to build ratios. So a couple weeks back I started using Bit-HDTV. For me when I first started I had a hard time building my ratio, one because I do not use a seed-box and two I just use my home connection which is not that great. My upload speeds are never spectacular but I have learned to manage. Anyways back to the trick. So for me personally I like to have a ratio of at least 2:1, why because I am an over achiever. As of late what I have been doing is downloading files that have lets say 1 seeder and 25 leechers (for example). I will download that file regardless of if I want it or not. Now lets say that file is 700MB with only one seeder. Now there are 25 people downloading that file plus more incoming. So the whole time your downloading that file your seeding to your other peers.
Now I used this trick last night on a newly upload file that was 1.28 GB with only 3 seeders and something like 40 leechers. I let utorrent run over night and this morning I had uploaded 3.11GB an counting (about 8 hours). Now that's closing in on 3:1 ratio which I like and this is on a private tracker that I find it hard to build good ratios.
So that's my simple trick I use sometimes just to help me get ahead a little. Now when there is something I really want on that tracker I still have a decent ratio once I get what I want. Of course always seed what you take if you can. Hope everyone enjoyed my first blog.
