Osama bin Laden's Capture

Osama bin Laden's death has already had a positive effect on the economy. The cost of oil has gone down by two dollars a barrel. Additionally, the morale of the terrorist extremists has likely taken a huge hit. We sent a message yesterday that the American forces will not stop and will not be bullied. They might not stop but neither will we. And we are bigger, stronger, and wealthier. We will prevail as we always have. We will not be backed into a corner by the threat of revenge.

WE WILL NOT BE TERRORIZED.

If I could have been at ground zero yesterday, singing with my compatriots, I would have. Not to celebrate a death, but to celebrate closure. To celebrate a victory in a decade long war. And to celebrate pride in a country that does not bow to terrorism. If I could have been there singing, I would have been. People were standing on trucks, waving the Flag, and blasting "Proud to be an American" from their boomboxes. It brought tears to my eyes. It was a show of unity I haven't seen in this country in a long time. It's good to know that patriotism still exists and that my people still believe in America.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Nice write-up Jenna. I can completely understand your feelings, and I am celebrating the victory of good over evil, as well.

But I would just like to stress on one thing. Its not an American victory. Its a victory for each and every person who wish for peace in this world. Its a victory for each and every nation who fight against terrorism. Its a victory for those who lost their loved ones on 9/11.

Thank you American Forces in your whole-hearted effort in eradicating terrorism, and effort in bringing peace to this world. God bless American Forces!

The only complaint from me to them is that they concentrate only on al-Qaida, and they don't take much action against the India-oriented terrorist groups, as the culprits of 26/11 still roam freely on the streets of Pakistan. Please bring them to justice, just the way you did to the coward who hid behind a woman to protect himself from bullets.

I really don't believe its Osama himself who has been killed, because he has been hiding for 10 years now and why would this happend when it's a new presidential election.. all this is in favour of Obama, to get re-elected.

But it's true OSama bin laden is offcially World champ in hide-and-seeking 2001-2011 ^^

Are you kidding Ademizad? Or you really meant it?
Do you think those American Special Forces were campaigning for Obama in Abbottabad? Or were they killing civilians in the high-security 'fort' to help Obama get re-elected?

I just hope the officials release some pictures of Osama's dead body, so that these conspiracy theories can take a rest, just like Osama, deep underneath some sea.

The man is dead, Ademized. Do you really think America would pretend to kill a man? How embarrassing would it be for our country if he came out with a new video after this? There is no way they could fake something like that without the potential for major repercussions. Also, there were a ton of people involved in killing him. Keeping something like that a secret would be insanely problematic, especially in an era where info is leaked ridiculously easily.

If they were gonna do something like that, it would've happened during the Bush administration. Don't you think its embarrassing enough for our country that it took us TEN YEARS to find and kill him?

Ugh I am so sick of conspiracy theories.

@Smack. This is definitely an American victory because it was our forces that took him down. Yes, the world can celebrate it but you must give credit where credit is due - and that credit goes to the Navy Seals who bravely went in and took him down.

@Jenna, All credit goes to them. I'm not in any way taking away anything from the Navy Seals. Its all because of them that ~censored~ is no more.

But still, its not an only-American victory, its the victory for all peace-loving people, who have been waiting for the last 10 years for justice being done to that man.

as for me all I can say is kudos to the American Soldiers who finally put this dog down, I do not like to celebrate another person's death but this man was the epitome of pure evil in my opinion, so good riddance

Your oil prices fell WTF!? Yes, that is my major concern. The United States gets a lot of it's oil from Alberta here and we're paying more than you. $4.57 a gallon. I personally suspected Osama dead for years so the economy has always been on the top of my mind, sorry.

Hmm, I dont know, the story is just too cheap... Did you see the dead picture of Osama? You really can't say that looked real, It was photoshoped, there are so many "same-looking" Osama people in Afghanistan. Let me ask this, why would all this happen now? The Arab-world revolution, the Libya crisis where America is taking part in, and now Osama is dead... also as I mentioned the new presidential election.

I really think U.S have the best if not the greatest Forces and Military technology, they could have taken out Osama whenver they wanted... I believe now it was the right time to eliminate him (now if it was him =P), waiting for the perfect time... it's like a puzzle.

@justjenna he won't make any new videos after this =P He is dead according to U.S

No pictures have been released yet... there's 1 picture going around but it's an old one that has been proven to be faked with photoshop. I really doubt that the white house will release any pictures, it would be a slap in the face to the Bin Laden family... and we all know how close they are to the american administration (well at least the Bush administration) The white house only releases pictures of terrorist with no money and political weight. At a press conference yesterday, the white house spokes person said that they would evaluate the need to prove his death by the public reaction and with the way that things are going, I don't think they need to release them because the majority of people have accepted and celebrated his death.

Quote : White House press secretary Jay Carney said “there are sensitivities here in terms of the appropriateness of releasing photos of Osama bin Laden.

I don't wanna sound like a paranoid person.. but I don't think they really killed him. Maybe they're saying that to fool all the terrorists into handing themselves to the authorities and stuffs.
I actually doubt that Osama exists anyway.. and I don't think he is the one who blew up the towers in 9/11

But if they really killed Osama (if he exists) then good! At least no innocent people will get hurt anymore.
