Step 1 of Game Plan!
So to start everything off I will be learning the pronunciation of all the Hirigana.
Then I will learn how to write and recognize each and every Hirigana.
By using many resources and basic repetitive actions.

I will be using youtube to learn the pronunciation. I will be spending a day on this step or untell I feel i can pronounce each one properly.

Then i will be using a program called Anki for memorization. Along with writing each one over and over again much like how I remember first learning the English alphabet this will also help my writing I will be using a android app and a Hirigana stroke order chart to make sure I am writing them properly.

I assume that this take any where from 1-3 weeks. Hopefully no longer but we shall see.
I am not very good at memorizing things.

I will be posting my progress every now and then among other things.

Nice, I also wanted to learn Japanese a few years back, but than I figured I won't have much use for it other than anime and I'd rather learn some European language as my third language which would probably be more useful for me.

Anyway, I recommend you to use two language learning programs: Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone.

I think you should post links to those youtube vids you mentioned in case anyone will be interested.
