Due to the recent events on TI, I thought I’d share my thoughts.

Now, I haven’t been a member here for very long and I’ve started out a lot different than most of you, so I might share a different opinion than a lot of you guys here.

First of all, TI is not where I started in the private trackers world. I’ve already had a few trackers before joining here. I was looking for my first seedbox, and this site comes up almost every time when I was looking up reviews. The tutorials, the tracker reviews, even though I wasn’t new to torrenting… all this info was new, I never knew sites like this existed before, I was hooked. Like TG said here: http://www.torrent-invites.com/brain...ml#post1255288, rarely do you see a forum where there are so many helpful members, there are the BieberFevers in the world , but the good members vs trolls is pretty damn good... So I signed up and the rest is history.

Now I never knew certain trackers had problems with TI, I never knew sites with the exact same names are some of the biggest trading forums out there. But with that said, this is still a public forum and there are still bad members here.

In my first giveaway here, out of the first 10 members who’s gotten an invite from me, more than half of them were banned, and half of those were ratio cheaters. I wasn’t punished, but even I felt like I deserved some kind of punishment for bringing so many bad members to a tracker I loved. Now granted, I was a complete fool for not screening my invitees properly.

Some of you probably heard the recent bans from GFT and x264, the reason? Simply by being a member here. I personally did not get my invite here, and I haven’t given out any invites here either. The sole reason for my ban was because I am a member of TI. In 5 years, I’ve never been banned from any trackers before this, and when it’s happened for the first time, it does hurt, especially for reasons that you do not have control over. Now given the tactics that these trackers used to obtain the info and how they tried to spread false accusations about staff here. I am glad I am not a part of these trackers anymore.

But still, you have to think why would staff at these trackers be spreading blatant lies? Maybe an old member could shed some light.

I think the best thing to do is if the staff here could reach out and get in touch with x264 and solve whatever beef you guys have between each other, or else the animosity is only going to grow. If things really get out of hand and can’t be worked out, I don’t see why we can’t just stop members from giving out invites period, or put out some kind of restriction like what we’re doing with What.cd & PTP.

Currently, there are no trackers that I want to get into, but I still stick around here because of the members and community here… Here’s 1 final story to end this blog post: I was new to this forum, a 10% member, all my posts were in the giveaway section, I had some serious ratio issues on what.cd, so I pm ASH and asks for help, without knowing who I was and what my background is, he helps me. It’s members like this that makes TI a wonderful place to be in, and I am glad to be a part of it.
