Default List Of Public Pre & Trace Services To Track Latest Scene Releases

As we have mentioned in several of our previous posts, Pre and Tracer channels go hand in hand with private torrent trackers and scene releases. Pre channels announce when new scene releases are leaked online while tracer (Torrent Racer) channels can be used to find out which private trackers index these leaked releases first. Usually, these are IRC based services and have their own interactive channels which allow searching, retrieving statistics + all time rankings and so on. This article is about three such Pre and Tracer services, one based on OMGWTFHAX network, another on Corrup-Net network and the other on G2x3KS Pre.Mirrors. All of these services are public and are accessible by anyone. For those of you who consider joining IRC channels a hassle, easy to use web based versions are also available. If you want to receive instant updates on when and where scene releases get uploaded to, check these out.

    Hi,

It would be great if every one of our blog posts doesn't get copy and pasted here. This is why we placed a note at the footer of above article:

"Note: Please do not copy and paste full FILEnetworks Blog articles on external sites and forums. Copying a post in full along with images and then mentioning the link at the bottom does not help us in any way. If you wish to share the news, post an excerpt from the article (1 paragraph, etc) and link to the full post on this page. Thanks."

I don't care if posts were copy pasted if this were a closed forum. But it's not and this is causing us issues with SEO due to content duplication. So it's would be much appreciated if you could alter the above post or delete it altogether. I don't think T-I submission rules allow re-publishing content without original author's consent?

    Thanks.

How does the mods / T.I. stand on this matter? Is this taken serious? Do we start including rules about sites from where news posts can't be taken from (with this I mean copyd'n'sourced) ? I know we encourage to write our own articles. However as stated in the bittorrent news section, important news can obviously be copy pasted with sourcing url.
On the other hand we wouldn't want copyright problems either, so we should think twice about the matter, and formulate some general guidelines for the people (like me) who like to keep T.I updates with the latest (important news)

Even if you copy our articles even without our consent, we will never go down that path and submit takedown notices against another file sharing related site. If we do that there'd be no difference between us and the fags at MPAA/RIAA.

I just want to say again that I didn't make the previous comment because I wanted to keep my site's content exclusive. I asked you guys not to copy paste FULL articles because it's having a deteriorating effect on FNB's search engine traffic ( which is the only way we get new readers). Posting an excerpt and not the entire post should be a win win situation for both parties - we already do this on many file sharing forums and have even automated it via RSS feeds.

Either way this was not a threat - only a request, pirate 2 pirate.

    Thanks.

For a list of pre times (no trace), I like to use orlydb (ORLYDB). It has a nice icon for nuked releases, makes them easily visible :)

This is a reasonable request and he's right about the SEO results. The top 8 google results point to T-I instead of the original author. Obviously the effect of copying and pasting was detrimental enough for him to register here and attempt to resolve the issue.

The article has been truncated with a teaser link to the original source.
