I use seedbox, but didn't have any part of the paranoia. Its just simple way to increasing my ratio.

What country are you from? Would be interesting to hear, because the anti-piracy is working harder in some country then others. How is this reflected on the people? Im from sweden here we just got a new law, allowing the ISp to give out the owner of a IP if suspected for piracy. It feels safer to download American content because all the cases about piracy in Sweden has involved only Swedish movies and music. Use no menas of protection at all for torents

I don't know how other ISPs work but as I've understood my ISP deletes all information regurarly. Helps me feeling a little safe atleast.

This is great information for me as I have been a bit scared at the few ISP warnings letters sent to me. A reckon a Seedbox is the way to go. Thanks guys

In most countries, in Europe, (NOT the UK), privacy laws prohibit providers handing out your personal details. If they did they would be breaking the law. Providers will not give out your personal details unless they are compelled to by a court order. This is certainly the case in Holland, France, and Luxembourg, where are a lot of seedboxes in Europe are hosted.

Nice, didn't know about btgaurd. Yeah US cyber privacy is close to null these days, or it's heading that direction. From blacklists to forcefully ceasing domains to trying to pass laws that would enable them to force the ISP to cut you off if you're suspected of file sharing. Fun stuff.

Honestly iv thought about doing the same thing lol. Im glad that other people have thought to actually do it. WAY TO STICK IT TO THE MAN

I am from the US. I always use protection in torrents; whether it be BTGuard or Seedboxes

It is. This is why I always encrypt my traffic. Thanks for reminding me, I should probably put how to encrypt in my post. Currently, the US immigration (why the immigration department is beyond my understanding) can close down many domain suffixes, such as any domain with .com .org .net etc.

Great post. I'm so glad we don't have to worry about this in Australia. Yet.
