Thread: How to keep good ratios on every site.

Using these strategies, I increased my ratio on utorrent from 0.01 to over 6.70!

1. UPLOAD!!!!!
Uploading is the easiest way to increase a ratio. Try to upload content interesting to the community. Also, if it's a themed site, upload relevant content.

2. SEED!!!!!
When you download a torrent, it's a good idea to seed it as long as possible. Make sure to download all of the files in the torrent so you can seed. Leeching new/popular files works alot. If it's featured on a news site, even better. To help with this you can use...



3. SEEDBOXES!
Seedboxes are services (usually paid) for providing download speeds around 100 Megabits a second. It helps you to upload/download files faster. Most use web clients based off of Web UIs of popular torrent clients (rTorrent, Transmission etc. On here there's a dedicated seedbox section and one for seedbox giveaways.


4. BONUSES!!!!
This is mainly a last resort. You can find bonuses to some sites to add upload speed. They are easy to find, especially on these forums. They usually come in sizes 10GB+

Seedbox is the most important part in your guide. You should have given it more (!)

first of all, here @ T-I, there are ( too ) many threads regarding to building a good ratio on every tracker... U should definately use a search button next time...

second, tutorial should/must be a result of a dedicated research, effort & significant amount of time... it's not enough to write 4-5 advices in 5 minutes & call it tutorial... if U do it in that way than it's not a tutorial... the purpose of tutorial is to educate the people about something they didn't know so far or summarize the knowledge about some specific thing ( e.g. how seedbox works, how to join the IRC channel etc. )... I'm sorry but your tutorial doesn't show much effort in doing it + these 4 advices have been repeated here at least 100 times...

there must be a difference between the tutorial & the post which contains some advices...

it's not something personal, it's just a friendly advice... just look @ the other tutorials in this forum section & U'll get the idea what I'm talking about...

Thanks for the effort tho. Also, the ratio in uTorrent is not what matters. You can argue all you want with the tracker staff but the bottom line is the ratio reported by the tracker is the only ratio that counts.

About seeding, you don't have to down the whole file in order to seed. You can also partial seed while you leech.

I would also agree that this "tutorial" has many weak points.

It is claimed that this tutorial is for "every site"...
1 Many people are unable to upload.
2 Many sites do not use a bonus system.
