Awesome tutorial and easy to understand. This is one of the best ways to build your ratio on hard to seed trackers. Personally i dont use rss anymore, but i did for awhile and without it i dont know where i would be today.
Using rss in utorrent is possible to use with your seedbox as long as u have vnc or remote connection. Just follow the steps in the tutorial, but with utorrent on your seedbox. The webui doesnt support rss so u need vnc. If u have rtorrent it all depends what front-end your using.

Automated is the way to go! Gotta workon tweaking the filtering though, or I'll wind up downloading a lot of stuff I don't want. Thanks for the tutorial tho :)
By the way, if anyone wants to run RSS on a linux box in conjunction with rtorrent; try FlexGet.
I've been using it for a while now, and it works really well. :) Just set it up to download the .torrent files to your watchdir, and they'll macigally appear in rtorrent.
Use the following cronjob to make it run once every minute: * * * * * /path/to/flexget.py -q
And make sure you got all the dependencies installed properly on your system (it's all explained in the installation guide). :001_smile:

How can I make it download a certain category. For me I want to set an RSS feed on my seedbox so that it downloads the dating category on bitme as I have heard its the best to build my ratio up...
You have to go the the RSS manager and then filter the categories you want to download at their own.
For BitMe, just go here; http://www.bitme.org/getrss.php
Tick the "Dating" category, and set feed type to "Download link". Don't add any filters, and it should grab everything that gets posted. :001_smile:
