I got in! I almost got wrecked by not knowing about WAV (PCM) which, btw, is the main(only?) uncompressed audio file. It has a bitrate the same as a CD. Pure and lossless, but a much bigger file than the compressed FLAC which sounds the same.
Is this torrent tracker so good as you raise dust about it?
@Peppabref: this asks if you can transcode a CD to v0 then to v9. Of course not, since lossy to lossy transcode is not accepted on what.
@Avramoski: yes, it's that good. It's very neatly presented: for a given artist, you can see all his albums, compilations, singles, remixes... and you have a variety of formats to download from. Then, What has such high standards that you can be sure the rips are good. To me, one of the most amazing websites.
Use wikipedia or anything else during the test and get busted, you're sure to blow every chance you have to get inside what.
Come on, it's not so hard to understand the few concepts their asking people to learn about.
Also, I hope for you they don't find out how you passed that interview, so don't brag about it.
Truth be told, being a casual music fan, you do NOT need whatcd if you have waffles already. Whatcd is better than Waffles on various aspects, not the least of which is the much bigger library. But I personally use Waffles more, just because it is so much easier to seed on Waffles.
As for the interview, it is quite hard, especially if you have no experience with ripping cds. But if you are an experienced bittorrenter, you should not have much trouble getting an invite. They have 150,000 users and the Power Users and Elites get invites regularly. Just because you cannot make giveaways and requests for them on TI does not mean the invites don't exist. Make friends in the community, hang out at the IRC, do it the old-fashioned way. The invite will find you itself.
