Thread: How to get a What.CD invite

That's a really nice tutorial for a good start. Like cheesefactory11 said, you can keep open the guide. So read everything, open a couple of tab if you want. It took 3 times to did it.

And sometime, they give you chance like : Are you really sure about you answer ?

I've passed the interview. It was easy and fun, it took about 45 minutes. Then the guy who interviewed me invited me into the tracker. He was a VIP user, so he could send unlimited amount of invites. When I signed up, I received 500 MB bonus upload :)

I passed the interview on my first try. It wasn't really that hard, especially if you spend maybe 10 mins with the wiki they give you for reference.

Even easier is just to go to the unlimited invite thread in PTP :P

yay i made it in my first try. it wasnt really hard. just read the tutorial and you will make it. be sure to know everything about transcoding and audio codecs. thats most important

Thanks a lot for the guide! I made it my second try. The first time I had some trouble remembering the specific encoding rates. But now it's all good and I've already downloaded quite a few nice albums. Loved the freeleech too!

I just did an interview on What a couple days ago, and can say that this tutorial is right on the money. I failed my first interview because I wasn't 100% on my LAME presets. You did a very good job of explaining the transcode policy, Airman. Lossless to anything is fine, Lossy to anything is not fine. I'd also like to second the point about being patient and polite. The interviewers are volunteering their time to help YOU get into a very popular site. You should remember this at all times during the interview, be respectful, and do not forget to thank them for their time :)

I've learned what i dont know about music fomats em transcoding, and when i entered in the IRC chat room the bot kicked me saying my country was banned in invites channel... But they accept if these users are invited by others... anyway thanks a lot... Good tutorial

The interview is quite easy, really -- I did this some time back. The problem is that many dumbasses scan the guide for like 2 minutes, don't really know anything about audio, and then fail. They're not having you take SATs, they just want you to know a bit about audio.

If you try to spend the bare minimum to pass the test, it will probably be hard. If you approach it with the mentality about actually trying to learn a bit about audio, and actually read up on it -- then it will be easy.
