Thread: How to build a killer ratio in BitMeTV

Hi all,

Just stopping in to give some pointers on how to build an upload buffer on BitMeTV which is currently probably one of the hardest sites (if not the hardest) to build ratio.

1) Go to bitmetv.org and sort torrents by Seed. This gives an idea of which torrents are most popular on the tracker. Currently this is Breaking Bad, Entourage, Weeds, etc...
2) Find out when they first premiere. This can be tricky as it depends on the part of the world the episode first appears. To get a good idea, look at when the previous torrents were uploaded. Currently, most of them premiere late Sunday/Monday nights.
3) On the premier time, either press refresh on your browser a lot or have your uTorrent or similar client set up to automatically download the torrent from a different site. Right now, I'm using freshon.tv because it's easy to get into and have pretty good release times for popular TV shows -- but any 0day is good (I'd probably use SCC if I had it :D).
4) Right after your download completes, download the torrent from BitMeTV and browse directly to the video file for download. In uTorrent, it may ask you if you just want to add trackers to the torrent currently downloading.. DO NOT DO THIS - it can be interpreted as cheating. It will probably ask you if you want to overwrite the file, select NO. For more information on how to cross-seed please visit the excellent tutorial here: How to Cross-Seed safely
5) At this point it should check the file (force it if it doesn't) and start seeding. Even if you are somewhat slow, you can still build a pretty damn good ratio this way on popular torrents. Keep seeding, you'll hit a lot of the people with slower connections and also the stragglers that aren't as committed as you who download in the following days :)

I'm thinking about writing a program to do this automatically between freshon.tv and BMTV. If I can find the time to do this I will keep everyone updated here.

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but it's much easier to just upload your own torrent instead of seed the torrents that are already on BMTV, you can find info from prescene channel

i want to add something That u use rss field for downloading find a site where episodes first upload and add it into utorrent rss then add bitmetv Into rss see this



Just don't click smart ep filter when episode upload on first tracker rss download it and when it upload on Bitmetv rss suddenly downloading it too as it already into you computer so it just recheck the torrent and start uploading it's like you upload the torrent in this way you surely make killer ratio

Any suggestion of a killer seedbox in Bitmetv? Or is it just not a easy game for novice like me?

Good tutorial! but why strive so hard for a killer ratio when you can download for free in BTN, it's more practical I think...

its typicaly gonna be the same file just extracted in some cases if both have the same size there is a good chance all you need to do is match the exact name and force a check with utorrent .. the program will start at 100% this is good if you wanna balance ratio between similar trackers..

Ok, the quote below sounds very interesting, but sorry for being thick, no matter how many times I read it, I really can't grasp what it says. Can you try to explain it a little bit more? For instance, is there any automatic downloading involved here or do you do this manually? Thanks. :)

It's true, but BitMETV probably has the best content for TV shows from any tracker. Also, it may sound silly, but if you want to find an invite to a very exclusive tracker you usually have to show ratio proof from a hard-to-seed tracker. BitMETV definitely qualifies for this.
