hmmm.. Anyone down to make a brand new tutorial :)
Nice thread! Answered my questions on DHT, PEX and stuff. Best part for me was about the encryption. I use force encryption since i started for privacy and security reasons. But i switched between checked and unchecked on legacy connection. I think there was a slight advantage on upload speed when checked (= allow unencrypted legacy connections). But this doesn't make sense to me because it's about the inbound connections (=download) and not upload?! Do I miss something here? :) Anyway I will keep both ways forced.
But here's a big questions for me on ISP blocking my connection: I had problems today that i constantly lost internet connection when uTorrent was running. I was downloading and uploading at full speed. So the ISP didnt slow down my connection, but I totally lost it! So I checked if it has something todo with encryption. The only thing which helped was to lower the maximum number of connections. Does anyone have the same expierence on this issue? It seems to me that the number of connections has a stronger impact on ISP than the actually down- und upload speed.
Thanks for any advice on that.
Beautiful tutorial man. Ive reset up my urtorrent to accommodate your advise. I havent had a chance to try it yet but im sure it will yield good results
