Thread: uTorrent 3.0 released!

Utorrent 3.0 has been released and it brings a few news!


This program comes with one-click file sharing, zero-config web control and streaming. It's a stable program and it pushes BitTorrent protocol to a new level. Project Falcon - µTorrent Labs - µTorrent - um cliente BitTorrent (bem) pequeno is a web browser that's integrated in te new release.

Streaming is now possible. You can stream your videos or musics


uTorrent 3.0 is now stable enough to be installed on any computer. This new gadget pushes the BitTorrent protocol to the next level.
Maybe the most impressive feature is the integration of a web browser called Project Falcon.

But this is only the beginning. Video and music streaming is possible! How do we do it? Easy:
When the torrent is downloaded, just push "Play" and chose your player. It works with TV shows, trailers, movies, mp3, albuns etc... Not FLAC musics yet, but it's getting there!

Another impressive feature is the "drag-and-drop" sharing box that uncomplicates your life!
On the bottom of uTorrent, there's a "Drop files to share" box. It's exactly how it's written, you just have to drag and drop your files and share. It automatically generates a TynyUrl link and you can send it to anyone! One bad thing about this, is that when someone acess the URL you gave, it provides the .torrent file, and that's not good for private trackers. This feature uses Web Seeds.


You can now rate and comment your torrents in the program. It's a way of giving feedback to other people regarding that .torrent. Pirate Bay or IsoHunt will integrate the Pulse rating to their websites.


If you want to acess your uTorrent on other computer, you just have to go to Options>Preferences>Web and enter a username and password. Then, go to http://web.utorrent.com and type the username and password you've chosen! Impressive, han?


Everything you do is encrypted with your password key. The service is free (for now)!

it's still in alpha so it has some bugs and some features may be added or removed on the final version

lets see if all the bt trackers give permission to use this client!

I still use 1.8.5 because it's the most stable version with 1.6.1,but 1.6.1 is no longer accepted on lot of trackers.I don't think i will jump to 3.0

At the moment, don't use 3.0. It is not allowes in many trackers.

They should work on better RSS integration features.

If I can get a black background i'll be the first to use it :)

64Bit looks neat, but sounds more buggy than 32 ATM

I will have to wait until it's allowed on all private trackers. It's sometimes quite hard to find at least one utorrent build that works everywhere ...
