I have seen this multiple times, in-spite of being reported of a particular vulnerability, MS does not consider them as their problem and keep passing the buck to other companies.

actually this problem is due to construction problem of utorrent & ms windows.. MS didn't know at the point of time when they created basic layer of windows that in any day some file sharing program utorrent will be there, right?

Seems time to update my utorrent very quickly then. Thanks for the heads up cause i always seem to ignore those "there is a new version" pop-ups.

Regardless of that, MS are very slow to release fixes to vulnerabilities. They also seem to wait for their monthly patch pack to release fixes.

Contrast this to the Linux world where fixes to critical vulnerabilities (especially if they have been made public) are usually pushed out within 24hrs.
