because of where I work I have to use strong passwords. 15 characters, 2 upper, 2 lower, 2 numbers, 2 special. Problem with me is if you get my password, you got it for everything else I log into![]()
In all honesty, my passwords in my opinion are strong, however since this whole debacle I have since reassessed my passwords and have even changed a few. Like a dummy I am guilty of using the same password on more than one site.
I hadn't realized it til this occurred. But nonetheless I make it a point to use a combination of both letters and numbers, and if the site allows I will use symbols too.
Thank you for the info, I am rather new to all these sites and am learning a great deal..I can't believe people are so malicious to others for personal gain..it's rather disgusting.
[QUOTE=JkDillinja;640184]I am using storng passwords. I am trying to use in my pass different symbols, upper and lower case letters and some numbers aswell.
me too
has anyone heard of services like lastpass? what do they think of them for remembering lots of different passwords?
the problem with having too safe, and unhackable password is you may end up forgetting it urself...
i had to recently ask for help in forums bcoz i had given too strong a password and forgotten it the next day LOL!!...this can also happen if ur a member of tonnes of groups (like me) and all require complex passwords, using a variation of a complez passwords might help in that case..and also it is advised not to have it written down somewhere..
i'd recommend somethin like HashPass.com for this..
Thanks to Trevor for repping me in
I dont have any GAs open. If you want invites to any of the trackers listed below, see me in T-I irc

I make password birthday number + telephone number + number change to english
for example ----> (not real number) 0112 + 7173 + 7 to S (it means seven)
so, 0112 s1s3 ----> I think I am genius !!! thank you
and you can not forget your number.
The organization I work in has a Single sign-on policy where the minimum password characters are 15 but once logged in you get access to all intranet resources without multiple log-ons.
I have about 4 passwords that include numbers and letters that I rotate every 4 months. That way I don't have too much trouble remembering them, also keeping it more secure. Depending on the term (or season) of the year depends on which password I use.
