    I agree in my opinion if Google didn't win it would have gone against freedom of speech and the amendment

    I don't think this will help out the torrent world. Google most likely won because it has a lot of pull being such a huge corporation. Smaller sites won't be as lucky IMO.

    Yes, I think companies like Viacom are wasting money on these lawsuits. As the saying goes, you can't put the genie back in the bottle.

    It's insane. The companies spend millions of dollars a year, trying to avoid "pirating", but in most of the cases they don't get anything. I wonder how long this situation will last. They just want more money so they can't buy another jet or something superficial like that.

    Google should just buyout Viacom. Not only would they make a fortune off it, but they'd be able to save further millions of dollars on not having to develop anti-upload scripts for YouTube.
