Thread: µTorrent 2.0 Banned

Out of more prominent trackers, TehConnection decided to ban µTorrent 2.0 as well. I for one am, because of this few trackers, stuck with version 1.8.5 for now.

I'm really failing to see what made you think that µTorrent is in "declining phase"? Or are you calling µTorrent's developers attempt to improve it's client by adding uTP a failure? Yes some trackers have banned version 2.0, but what do you think for how long will they be able to keep the most popular client banned? I don't think it'll be for long, after all, it's still the best client if you use Windows (and most people do).

my fav tracker has banned 2.0 and im kinda upset about it :( RTM

I'm one the users who reverted back to earlier versions of uTorrent because it's still banned on some trackers that I'm in. Sure it's possible to run two instances of of uTorrent with different versions, but I'm not sure that's necessary. I'm just hoping that we can finally move on once 2.01 stable is released.

i downgraded to 1.87 or something... and everything d/ls like normal, i guess im waiting for every site to finally new version of utorrent orsomething before i upgrade again.

2.0 eats up too much bandwidth. Gonna downgrade soon.

I am using uTorrent 2.0, it has worked like charm for my Tracker...

Why you say, it eats a lot of bandwidth, in what terms??

2.0 works like charm for me no problems with me in utorrent 2.0 .

Edit: But now i am using 1.8.5 because 2.0 is not allowed on many trackers and 2.0.1 is still not allowed on BCG..

Now there is 2.1 which is not banned in most of trackers that had 2.0 banned :)

2.0.1 - not 2.1

I wouldn't just go and assume that it's ok to use it either. It's best to wait until you're sure. Not worth risking your account at any of your trackers just to play with the new shinier toy.
