True, but my hope is that once few people go to court and Win the companies will understand that they will lose + be forced to pay for legal expenses for the other party
thus makeing it unworthy for them to even press charges. basicly it could stop the trend that some companies adapt.
The judge "recommends" that other judges dismiss these cases, but it is not a global precedent by any means. This ruling has no bearing on any other court in any other circuit or district. So it really means nothing, other than a being a recommendation.
And this does nothing for the soon-coming copyright infringement agreement with ISPs in June or July which would still punish a person by IP, up to and including lawsuits.
Take this news with a grain of salt because it really doesn't mean much.
