Thread: Fileporn.org is shutting down

For aprox 3 h ago fileporn announced that they are shutting down due copyright lawsuits, which i find strange. Wasn't SOPA stopped?



However, I just recently joined their community, but the few days I was a part of it, I gotta say, was one of the better trackers I have seen in that genre.

Hello fellow FilePorners

Unfortunately we have to terminate our tracker services due to a "copyright infringements" lawsuit. There isn't much we can do but comply to their terms.
It was a great privilege running this community all this time. I wanted to thank our Moderators, Uploaders (old or new) and YOU forum.
A great THANKS to all VIP members and supporters of this tracker. Your generosity was vital for this tracker to stay alive, the lack of funds has always been an issue for us.

There will be no comeback from the original FilePorn admins/mods team.

Thanks for your support, dedication and your time.

This has nothing to do with SOPA. It says right in the message that its due to a lawsuit. Not fear of SOPA, PIPA, or ACTA.

It's funny how people don't see the trend. One tracker gets taken down from within. Then another tracker sees the opportunity to boost their members count by opening registrations or giving their members numerous invites to accommodate said refugees. After a little while they also get taken out and another tracker, once again, sees an opportunity to take in more members and the trend continues.

The trend I'm currently a part of is TNA to Cheggit to FilePorn and now to PussyTorrents.
