Thread: Hdbits: recent dowtimes

Recent downtime - 27/01/12

As you're probably aware, the site has been on/off for about a week now.
This was because of a DDOS attack that saturated our connection, so there wasn't a great deal we could do about it. The hosting company weren't willing to filter our traffic and more than once stopped routing our ip.

Unfortunately, to compound the problem, the site owner is hard to reach at the moment .. so there wasn't much we could do about any alternate plans.



Eventually it turned out that our hosting company could just give us a bigger connection (why they didn't offer it in the first place I have no idea) - so that's what we're on at the moment.
Hopefully if the DDOS continues the site will be unaffected.

That would be lovely! Well maybe not all but just open registrations and early birds catches the worms

so does anyone know who or why? More than that it probably is anonymous or scene or something?

I figure, some bloke got banned for trading/selling, and he retaliated.

this shit is time-consuming. Building up an army that can take down a medium size site is not easy.
