Thread: PTP - Removal of uTorrent 3.1 from client whitelist

In light of reports from other trackers and bug reports on the uTorrent forums, uTorrent 3.1 will be removed from the client whitelist within the next day. If you are affected by this change, we urge you to immediately downgrade to a bug-free version of uTorrent (preferably pre-v3). Be sure to make a backup of your %AppData%\uTorrent folder which you can use to restore all your torrents once you switch versions.

Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\uTorrent

Windows Vista / Win7
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent

Wouldn't surprise me if this will become the general consensus of the tracker community (I guess it started with what.cd; http://www.torrent-invites.com/bitto...-1-issues.html posted by mszrx104), so as the article says: either don't upgrade or if you already have then downgrade your client.

I quit using uTorrent some months back. Found Tixati and it serves just what I need. Simple lightweight and nothing odd hidden in the code.

I'm so used to utorrent, i don't think i can get used to anything else. It's got the RSS downloader, and i've got many feeds saved, along with my Statistics :(

I use uTorrent 2.2.1 so no problem for me...

I am of the view that uTorrent 2.2.1 is perhaps the best so far.
In my opinion uTorrent 3.x series has its issues. So, be a little cautious when using/thinking of using 3.x.
As a rule of thumb, do not upgrade your client as soon as the update comes. Wait for a little time and only after hearing positive feedbacks upgrade your client.

PTP, what.cd, AHD have done the same and more will follow.
