Thread: On Quality -PTP

As we inch ever closer to the 100k torrent milestone, PTP is well on its way to becoming the largest private movie tracker on the Internet. In spite of this, there is one (major) aspect of our archive that is lacking; that aspect is quality. We've heard you mumble and grumble and have decided it's time to open more avenues for high quality content to be uploaded. Without delving into the endless debate of quantity (and availability) vs. quality (in which historically PTP has leaned heavily towards the former), we have released a revised set of rules pertaining to all x264 content on this site (these rules will be applied retroactively).

In addition, MediaInfo is now mandatory for all uploads.

We hope these rule changes will foster the growth of more high quality internal groups (such as TBB) and a higher awareness of quality and transparency with respect to encoding. January's contest will focus specifically on x264 encodes and it is our wish that you, our members, make full use of these rule changes to upload as much high quality content as possible while simultaneously taking advantage of the freeleech to give them healthy swarms.
