First of all, we apologize for all inconveniences while we were down...

A more official notice will be placed on the front page shortly. But I wanted to give users a brief explanation of what was going on.

According to our ISP our server experienced a lock up and they rebooted the server without notifying us (or so I've been told). Due to the custom setup we have things stored in highly volatile areas for speed but in this situation nothing can be done but reboot the server.

When I left here full backups were done every 12 hours and offloaded to a remote machine for security problems. When i was called in to help this weekend i had been informed that backups hadn't been running recently... well... lets just say you're running on the latest full backup.



The issues is backups are not taken of the files and the DB at the same time then you have tons of torrents left on the machine that don't link to the website. Myself and a few users who i thank for their help, attempted to combine two databases without much luck. we ran into some weird problems and decided that we would work on this for another few days before getting it right.

we chose to get things back up and running since the latest and greatest backup was only about 12 days newer it wasnt worth the trouble.

I imagine that DT will reward users for their loss's somehow. I'm sure that the first thing to do is to turn on freeleach, so enjoy!
