Default BD25.org moves from torrents to Usenet

By the end of the year BD25.org will move from torrents to Usenet.

    Extract from announcement:

When will this move to Usenet take place?
That will be by the end of this year. You will be informed by me about the exact date when the torrents won't be available anymore.

What is the reason to stop with torrents?
At the moment we have close to 5000 members, but their activity is very low. Most of our torrents die almost instantly. From the 600 torrents almost 50% are dead. Only 16% (94 torrents) can be considered healthy (3 or more seeders). These stats are terrible and show that there is no future for BD25.org with torrents.

I think this is great news, because their encodes or good, but somewhat, let's caled it special, because of their huge file sizes. It's the only and also best step they can do, because after getting banned at a reputable HD tracker, and jumping between a lot of traackers, they had to open up their own one.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

I am a bit sad about this, I got over 20TB of upload traffic there, but if they don't want to wait for the site to get people who would seed longer I wish them the best.

Oh well, it was an ok tracker but I didn't really notice anything exclusive about it so I guess we'll get by without it ok.
    All the best though Rabomil.

Are you sure you mean the same tracker, because it was basically they had nearly only internal encodes, which were obviously exclusive, but on the other hand it's a special kind of encoding and you have to like those heavy file sizes.

Yeah I'm a member there. I just meant that the films they offered were also on loads of other trackers, and I doubt there is anyone out there who only wants the Eureka encode of a certain film so with that in mind the same films are available on many other trackers. There's nothing wrong Eureka encodes and untouched BluRays, but its probably a tracker I won't miss too much.

Small encoding teams have usually only time for the popular, new movies you are certainly right with this, but it's still exclusive, because this exact release can't be find anywhere else. I meant exclusivity more in the sense that they have basically only their own encodes. Eureka encodes are something totally special, but I don't know if you can still call that encoding, because they even try to make the resolution and quality better than the original.
