Default The party is over :)

    Sep-15-11 - The party is over :)
The birthday party is over, we hope all of you enjoyed it regardless of all the technical issues

Now that the even is over we expect everyone to continue being as active as he was before... and this is especially valid for the legion of ratiowhores - if you weren't particularly active before the birthday (other similar events excluded) and have made more than a few hundred of gigabytes upload in the past week then it certainly conserns you - we don't like such people here, so unless you keep on being active you will lose your accounts.

Ah yea, the invites handed out are now reset, we hope that they were wisely used as we're not planning to hand out new invites soon

So enough with the bad news, the bottom line here is that most of you generated good amount of upload giving you a chance to be more active downloaders in the future... and that we have a new server, which makes the site behave normally even with 150 users online.

So there you go, birthday fun is over guys

Man freeleech creates a tremendous advantage for most users I have yet to experience a FL with my seedbox working at what but if it's anything like waffles or MV this week then I can definitely understand why it doesnt happen often. It completely breaks the ratio system, don't mind me though I uploaded almost a TB so I guess I am one of those people that create an imbalance but I will at least agree that freeleech is in a way harmful to a site as a whole, I still greatly appreciate it though.

I can agree with that, usage spikes then dips way down as soon as freeleech is switched off.Your box must be good pal, i only got 250gb or something like that.

I don't understand the issue here (and I'm not trying to be a jackass). I'm not a member of this tracker so that might be part of the problem but why the backlash against people uploading during freeleech? I thought that was the point, so people can fix their ratios. And wouldn't a fl not work without ppl uploading?

Before I had a seedbox the only way I could maintain a decent ratio (read: close to 1) on the trackers I use was due to sitewide fl and jumping on popular fl torrents that I had no interest in...

I think they mean that they expect people to keep using the tracker, not just jumping on freeleech and then hardly using the account afterwords.

Yeah, I understand his point of view, but I can tell you I followed the same path with Waffles.

Before the FL I had 0 wiggle room for my ratio. I'd done what I could, uploaded a couple cd's and books, seeded everything I downloaded continually, but just couldn't catch a break. First freeleech came and I downloaded everything I wanted a lot of stuff I didn't--just to get the upload going.

Since the tracker went off freeleech, I mostly stopped downloading stuff because I already have most of what I want. Downloading dropped to nothing but still seeding.

I would assume this is common enough that it wouldn't be fair to assume that everyone that followed this pattern was an undesirable.

Oh crap :( ! Does this mean they retracted all the invites or only the ones which were handed out during their birthday celebration ?
