I am also romanian and while i hate to see a good tracker ban Romania, i can see their point. I am a moderator on a romanian tracker, and i have to deal with the same "bad eggs" on a daily basis....all of them are no older than 15-16 and they get on my nerves.
But i don't ban a whole country, because 98% of the user base are hard working honest seeders, and trackers who ban Romania should know that for a few stupid kids, they also ban a lot more good users, and forbid other honest ones from signing up.
When i see a "bad egg", i just disable his account....why can't bitmetv do the same? Is that so hard?
I would also like to suggest an option for the account hijacking problem, which has been implemented successfully by Filelist: the Password Recovery email cannot be changed.....the one you sign up with remains locked and you can't lose your account. I don't understand why every tracker doesn't implement this.

Romanians being good or bad, i have two experiences with them, one is that i invited a romanian friend to GFT and he is doing fine, other is a moderator from a certain tracker that i thought was cool got his ass kicked from it because he was selling invites.
Also, this idea ins't new at BMTV.

More trackers should follow in the steps of PolishTracker with the pin. All the most important areas of the user profile are protected, cannot be modified and functionality is lost without the pin if you decide you want to edit anything. Problem is remembering the pinOriginally Posted by lykar87

To enhance the safety of your accounts we've introduced PIN code. Without entering PIN code you will be unable to change e-mail and user password. Note! PIN is yours, you have to secure and remember it. It is unable to change, it will be NEVER recalled to you. In case of loosing e-mail account, hacking etc. there is possibility to set a new user e-mail by the staff - but only if the user knows PIN. Without this code we will be unable to help you.

Yeah, not a fan of the PIN thing. That's how I got my CN and PT accounts disabled for inactivity. I know you're specifically referring to the use of a pin to alter your profile, but it's annoying nonetheless.
I can't wait for the day Freshon bans all of North America or something. Haha. I believe that's the only .ro tracker I frequent.

im sure they didnt jump into this without really looking into how many good members they will loose and look into alternatives and im sure they have realised theres much more bad/fake users than good users from there
the email thing has its good points and bad points (if your changing email addys/dont have access to that email addy anymore theres no way to update it)
same as the pin (if you forget it ur stuffed and most users save it as a txt doc so they dont forget it which is easy for anyone to see)
@coss dont take it personal dude they didnt ban u they banned the country for the majority of users from there
that being said if romanian trackers banned the rest of the world it would basically be website suicide and yes people would be pissed off since all the other countrys havent done anything wrong

Agreed with you of course, never take a behavior against a whole country for some bad users !!!. I was a moderator on some Arabian trackers on their forums. As we Egyptians, always fight cheaters, sellers or any kind of bad users. But specially Romanians have a better Internet connections than us !! so why ban ??yes i am a romanian ,and yes some of us do dumb things but bannig entire countries is not what bittorrent is about BMTV sayed they wil talk with other tracker`s staff but what if TvT.ro Filelist.ro and Iplay would ban all countryes and let only Romania??? you don`t think is fair?

Bad users always will be there from every part in the world. They can easly ban one by one, specially that they doesn't open registration so much !!

BitmeTV as I see never better than TVT.COM or BTN and I'll never care about they ban all countries on the world or not but the behavior itself is ridiculous.Same here. Easy, Freshon.tv, BTN and TVT.com so don't care about bitmetv...

No offense to Romanian users, but why do each and every tracker have to ban Romania. There must be something very very wrong with Romanian users.Yes we do have great speeds and most of us don't need to cheat to keep a good ratio and is nothing wrong with us. You got that message wrong. Main problem of BitMeTV is not about users who cheat to keep a good ratio, but about those who are hijacking accounts and selling them further.
I am Romanian and I also am a BitMeTV user. I don't know if BMTV is the best tv show tracker or not but I can say that it is a good tv show tracker. And I also know that my account there is a privilege, not a right, and that they are a private community and they can ban anyone, anytime, without giving a reason. So if they want to ban us then let them ban us, but DON'T make stupid affirmations like:

If you are searching on google you will see that you will find everywhere people that are selling invites/accounts from LEET trackers like F***T**.Net or HDBits.org to any crappy tracker. People from everywhere are doing this, not only Romanians and they probably do it because is a good business and they don't give a crap about trackers. You can find anything for the right price in this world.
I will NOT assume other people mistakes and banning an entire country is not the solution. It's easy to buy a seedbox and still accessing all trackers that you want and have banned your country. A good solution may be educating your users, because is not my fault that some users are accessing their private accounts from public computers or if they are browsing on unsafe pages from personal computers without protecting their PC. You could easily lose your bank accounts or you naked pictures with your gay friends and honestly I don't care. You can lose everything in life if you are not careful, a tracker account is less important. Learn to protect yourself because EVERYWHERE in this world are people who are stealing and lying not only in Romania LOL.

I was a mod on a tracker and we eventually did the same thing. Banned israel, Romania, Egypt and Brazil.
The difference it made to me was that I wasn't spending 2-3 hours of my free time daily trying to sort out all the problems those countries were causing. Yes there were good members but in particular Romania has dynamic IP's, therefore if you ban somebody they can just get another invite (from one of the many accounts they had) and sign up again and again.
I know it's extreme but I can sympathise, it's not like the staff get paid for making the site work and if they can't fix the many problems those users are causing then bannig the entire country seems a small price to pay for the site to run properly without all the staff hating runnig the site. No staff, no tracker.
