    Default Is it OK to request a tracker just to gain and give out invites?

    The question is:

    Would it be acceptable to get an invite to a site, not to particularly use the site to get content, but to build a buffer and get a high user class just to be able to give away invites to that site? In other words, you are only a member of that site to share the invites with others.

    I see some good and some bad in this, I thought I would try to create my first poll thread here at T-I! I've love to hear opinions on this.

    I personally don't have a problem with a person using this as motivation to request an invite.

    As long as the person is respectful to the tracker, follows the rules and uses the account, I think it is fine.

    Most trackers have a user limit. So in my opinion it's not fair to join a tracker only for getting invites. Another user which is interested in content would deserve it more.

    Shadowbuild I agree with you for trackers where it is easy to get in. But not for trackers which only give out few invites.

    you can find the same content in a lot of different sites so in my opinion its ok to get an invite to a site just to be able to give away invites to the same site

    Same there.For personal ethic extrapolation it seems bad, but in the other hand,if you obey the site rules and using your acc. with average profit , we have no permisson about talking to why you had your acc.

    My args :

    a - On private tracker u have to be an active members REGARDING rules to get some invitations.
    b - So if u get some invitations --> u're active uploader (most of time invitation are based of upload volume <-- rules).
    c - Then u participe to the project of private even though u don't care about content Coz people will leech to your computer/seedbox.

    a--> b--> c

    Conclusion : If we think about terms of productivity we can agree with this type of members. UNTIL he doesn't break rules (ex. selling invites).

    PS : Our world seems to work like that (productivity) & bittorrent is, in my mind the answer of a community who claim balance/equality, using ultra-liberalism resources against itself, so...

    Idk, I voted no because there are always people who would want to join and give invites rather than just one. But there are merits to both sides.

    Most trackers require you to already have downloaded quite a bit of stuff in addition to keeping a good ratio in order to receive the ability to invite people. So it generally means you'd have to get some content you would more or less need and seed it as well.
