Thread: Is it OK to request a tracker just to gain and give out invites?

I totally agree - it seems some members are only joining trackers to get invites !!! not for content

I think it should be a member if you want the content of that tracker, or if you plan in future to use that tracker.

I agree with you for trackers where it is easy to get in

I think its OK. Most trackers require you to get to power user, which of coarse means you need to upload a significant amount and maybe upload a few torrents. sharing is sharing, whether its for content or invites

Actually i don't like to sing up just to give out invites,on the other side it's nice to do that with a rarely opening private trackers (may be i don't like this tracker but i will sign up just for others)

I voted 'No' because there's not much point if you are just going to sign up, download & upload just to get some invites which are already available in plenty (by ppl who actually use the tracker) -
It is just not most efficient way of spending premium bandwidth and time, IMO

Waa, the thread name really confused me!! Anyways the OP original post cleared it!!

Naah, I did used to join trackers in very beigining phase of my Private BT World randomly, but not anymore!!
I like to restrict myself to the places I personally like to Grab content from, coz in long run at the place you gonna
get pruned anyways bringing bad name to your nick.

So my thinking keep yourself restricted to the places you really like to download content from, and start becoming
good members at those selective places and invite will automatically follow for a good lawt of you ;)
