BitTorrent/P2P/Piracy News Blogs and Sources
I did a search and there are a couple of similar threads, but they're very old and the information is way out of date. The older threads are closed as well (auto-closed?), so I thought best to make a new thread for this.
I like to keep up to date with the latest Piracy and P2P news, so here are the top news sources. If you know of any others, feel free to reply and I'll add them in.
Tracker News
FileShareFreak - this used to be the king of the blogs for tracker news, but the owner, Sharky, had some health problems and the blog has been inactive for a couple of months now. Even before this, the blog's activity was down from virtually a post every day to a post every week or so. FSF write lengthy articles about everything from open signups and new trackers, to tutorials and invite forums. FSF Link
FileNetworks - In the absence of Sharky, Filenetworks has taken over as the main source for getting news "out there". FileNetworks write very similar articles to FSF about similar topics. FNB Link
BTrealm - Btrealm generally post short news excerpts from trackers, such as announcing free leeches and open signups. These are usually just copied and pasted, but occasionally they do write longer articles similar to FNB and FSF. Because their articles are just copy & paste jobs, they tend to post a lot more articles than FSF and FNB. BTR Link
InsideBT - Similar to Btrealm, InsideBT copies and pastes tracker news. IBT Link
Reddit Trackers - Not a blog, but Reddit Trackers have a group of people who post and comment on news stories. Usually their news comes from one of the sources above, or from somewhere like T-I, but they do occasionally come through first. Reddit Tracker Link
FileShareNews - Not very active, but also has some news about Open Signups etc. FSN Link
TrackerNFO - Polish-language BT news, advising of open signups etc. TrackerNFO Link
AllTrackersInfo - New blog, not many articles yet. Posts tracker news such as open signups etc. ATI Link
TheP2P - Similar to AllTrackersInfo, a brand new blog. TheP2P Link
Torrenter's News - Another new blog, run by a T-I VIP. Torrenter's News Link
Piracy/Legal News
Torrentfreak - Without a doubt the king of Piracy news, Torrentfreak posts regular news, and is usually first with it's news. Posts about everything from sites being taken down, to Software launches. TF Link
P2PNet - P2PNet mostly posts articles about legal news within the Piracy world, and is usually pretty active, posting several articles per day. P2PNet Link
Piracy Network - Not usually first with the news, but Piracy Network also posts a lot of legal news, and is pretty active with a few articles each day. Piracy Network Link
P2Pon - Similar to TF, they post legal news and a range of news about Piracy as well. P2Pon Link
Slyck - Again, pretty similar news to TF and P2Pon. Slyck Link
Zeropaid - Similar to Piracy Network, they're rarely first but they do post a range of news. Zeropaid Link
P2PScoop - Again, similar to Slyck, P2Pon etc. P2PScoop Link
Opinions/Scene Notices
TPSBlog - This is run by a rival invite forum, but you don't need to be a member of the forum to view it. Offers views on topics in the BT World. TPSBlog Link
SceneNotice.org - Scene members complain about groups, releases, sites etc which are annoying them. Mostly irrelevant for BT users, but some of it can be funny. SN.org Link
SceneNotices.com - Same as SN.org. SN.com Link
