Thread: Have you gotten a letter for torrenting from a private tracker?

Just as the title says, Have you ever gotten a Cease and Desist letter as a result from torrenting from a private tracker? And could you specify which tracker(s) it was from?

I'm just curious how secure private trackers because it seems quite easy to get into one.

I am NOT asking for anonymity tips, please don't tell me to get a seedbox, VPN...

I have never gotten one from the private tracker before.
I have gotten several from demonoid, which is why I don't download anything but non-copyright material from there anymore.

I have not gotten any DMCA letters since joining a private tracker. I got about 3 of them in about a 2 months period when downloading from public trackers.

I think I did read somewhere on here that someone got some for downloading on Demonoid.

Personally, I think it is only a matter of time before private trackers are infiltrated anyway.

Never got any letter, even back when I used public trackers.

I've never gotten a letter, but I have started downloading a tracked torrent just recently. Luckily I had peerblock running and was able to catch it.

There were rumors that TL has been inflitrated. They say they got a letter by downloading a torrent from there. I'm just not sure if it was true. I also heard another tracker with the same issue with TL - just forgot the name.

He probably meant that the IP of the anti-piracy group has been blocked by PeerBlock. So, no letter for him.

I have not received any letters so far whether its from a public or private tracker although a friend of mine got two letters while downloading from BT Junkie.
