Thread: Ratio building an addiction?

I have a seedbox and I'm always watching for new TV shows and movies to download and cross seed. It is either a hobby or an addiction. I find it is like gambling or stock market "hmm... I bet this TVShow/stock will do good, lets download it and hope there will be a lot of investors/leechers". I want to be in front of my computer when the .torrent is posted so I can be seeding (and cross seeding!) it withing the first minutes!

Same with movies, but the TV shows are more predictable when they will be released.



I'm still trying to increase my class at the different trackers. I'm guessing the ratio building would slow down once I reach the highest class I can at all my trackers (I have about a dozen now), but I'm not sure, it's a lot of fun.

Anybody else doing this?

I like to consider it a hobby :)

with a slow home conenction (512kbit/s upl speed), it is kinda satisfying to build up a huge ratio on hard-to-seed trackers. :)
altho it is quite challenging, i really enjoy it :D

UP UP UP UP UP UP UP and I just can't get enough.....

Ever since I got my seedbox just over a month ago, I have been fiddling with it, adding torrents checking sites for new torrents, cross seeding as quickly as I can, posting on here and applying for new trackers and talking to the one friend I have that is interested in this stuff. I spend most of my free time doing something tracker related, I probably would check my seedbox every couple of hours all day long.

I feel a little bit like its an addiction actually lol.

missdirected, your post is pretty much how I fell as well. I got a seedbox, went a month without, and now got a new seedbox (with feral this time, much better than rapidpeer which I had last time). I'm always tinkering with it when I have time. Now I'm considered upgrading to more storage... I fear the addiction will never end! :)

I'm an ratiobuilding addict.

Can't stay one single day without trackers/torrents and building my ratio.
