Thread: What happened to good music torrent sites?

What ever happened to good music torrent sites.I remember 7/8 years ago finding a good music torrent site was so easy to do.Sites like Suprnova, Oink, and many others were all over the place.Even Demonoid was alot better as far as music went and so was Isohunt.After Suprnova went down in the early 2000's I was hurt but it led me to Oink and Demonoid but when oink got shut down I was messed up because they had the best music.Rock/Hip Hop/R and B/Soul/Pop anything.And since Demonoid came back they just haven't been the same to me.Just wanted to know if anyone feels the same?What ever happened to good music torrent sites?Cause I'm a music junky.Seems easy to find good movies sites but not music or is it just me.

Content vanished from open sites sites like Demonoid and TPB are no what they used to be. Still you can find what you need but it's getting harder.

For a music lover account at one or more of the premium torrent sites is a MUST these days.

Well... What happed.

What.cd and Waffles.fm are just as good if not better than Oink was at its peak. What's torrent database is much much bigger than Oink's was and both What and Waffles have excellent quality control. What and Waffles have some great technology built into their trackers which make it easy to find what you're looking for and both communities are fun and active.

There are also some music trackers which specialise in certain styles. For example, Romanian Metal Torrents is awesome for heavy metal music. You just need to do the work to find out about these specialist music trackers and procure invites. This website is perfect for doing that. Just don't expect to get a What invite here - it's against the rules :).

The bottom line is that it's easier than ever to find great music online. You just need to be a member of What and/or Waffles.

I've never been to either one of those sites heard of them tho.Better than Oink huh.Never ever thought I'd hear that about a music site.One day I'll get in one of them.

I agree, What and Waffles makes it very easy to find music your looking for.

LMFAO. You make it sound like it is difficult. What has open invites if you go online on IRC and answer a few easy questions basically. Unless you are from a banned country on these sites then it is not very hard to get in on them. I see plenty of Waffles invites around here as well. You are a member of a great site to get invites to great sites after all.

The questions are easy, but not everyone is as adept with the technical aspects of digital music transcoding and the various audio formats and codecs. For the average music lover it's much easier to just get waffles here from T-I.

I just request stuff on IPT that I cant find elsewhere. My request rate so far has been filled 100%.

But then again there's TONNES of trackers out there specializing in music only.
