Thread: For what reasons can you get banned (from trackers)?

(Banned from trackers, not necessarily T-I)

I know the obvious reasons that are posted on the rules I have read for trackers like TRADING, DISRESPECT, LOW RATIOS (for some) and DUPE accounts.

But I've been looking through the Chopping Block, and I've come to some terms I'm not familiar with:

Scammer, Ratio Cheater, Cheater ('You have invited a Cheat...")



And is it true that private trackers tell each other the names of people who they banned so that other trackers will do the same?

why are you asking this? would you like to cheat, or what?

you can get ban by using tracker's name as Username also. happen on me on Speed.CD

You mentioned almost all sinf that you can be banned for except for account hacking and being on invite tree with one rotten apple aka trader, cheater, etc.

Speaking of the second thing, some trackers are sharing details of banned users in order to prevent them from doing the same on other sites. But that is referring to really bad guys like cheaters, traders, hackers.

scammers scam. for instance, we have some people here, in t-i, who request for big bonus and then make their own little bonus giveaways from that (or turn that bonus to an invite and giveaway that). in tracker terms, it usually relies in the forums and IRC.

ratio cheaters use software to send out false d/l and U/l data. that data contains no torrent related bits. basically, his being disrespectful to the whole "sharing is caring" system we have built.

cheaters (also scammers) play with the systems that each tracker has. sometimes it's bonuses, sometimes invites or bank/casino or even rep system...they do it to get more stuff and "fame".

oh, and it's true, some tracker admins share their user data, mainly banned IP's or e-mails. i emphasize SOME.

Also: is cross seeding permitted? I don't see any harm in it, but I just want to make sure.

cross seeding doesn't seem a bad thing when all the torrents are from the same guy/group anyway. but just to be sure, you better check your trackers FAGs.
i personally haven't heard of anyone being banned for cross seeding.

you can get ban for cross seeding if you find a retard that think is cheating
also a reason for geting ban are giveaways ,lots of trackers consider giveaways same as trade

Last time i was banned because of inactivity on iplay.ro. Does anyone know can i return that account???
