I will divide this tracker up in three: Easy to get(for the beginners), Not too hard to get, and hard to get. This is just what I think, and as I'm on few of the high levels, I just make the list as i think. Please come with suggestions. NOTE: This tut focuses on what trackers that is USEFUL!
NOTE2: TL is not here because SCC I think GFT is better, and if you want more content, IPT is the tracker you need.
Easy to get
Demonoid.com This was my first private tracker, and it is the way to go for beginners. It has great content, and a lot of music. However, the ratio system is POOR at best, and speeds are not very good. Torrents do also die pretty quick. Many, including me, does not care about the ratio here, but for beginners it may be nice to learn about how to keep a ratio here.
Iptorrents.com This is a general tracker, and you will find almost everything you need, but it's weak on music, and there are better scene trackers, but not low level. This should be a beginner's main tracker!
Libble.me If you need music on torrents, but have not a chance to any higher level, this is the way to go. There is also a rumor that there is what.cd recriutment in the PU forums(as a note, musicthe.net is a new ratioless music tracker with open registrations. I think it has great potential.)
No too hard to get
Here, I am unsure about some trackers, if they are mid level or high.
RevTT If you are very good at keeping a ratio, and have insane homespeeds or a seedbox with a big HDD, this is your general tracker. I think it one of the best general tracker that exsists, but as mentioned, the ratio could be a problem. The music content are good, and the HD content are INSANE with 6000 HD torrents. Does also have an own "HD pr0n" category.
GFT If you don't have access to godlike speeds, but still want a excellent general tracker, this is your choice. It is RATIOFREE!. Even though this tracker is a general tracker, it has most focus on pr0n.
Waffles.fm Ah yes! Finally we have almost unlimited access to music! With almost 300.000(!) music-related torrents, I'll bet an IPT invite that you find what you needThe drawbacks with this tracker is that it is hard to get (but i have seen many GA's on 55% lately) and it is hard to keep a good ratio if you don't know what you are doing, meaning that a very good homespeed or seedbox is preferred. (Maybe what should have been here instead, but what is not avaliable to get here, I don't have it, and it's even harder to seed than waffles.)
Bithdtv This tracker is very good for HD content, but does only have tv series. If you also want movies in HD, PtP might be your choice
PtP Yep, here is PtP. By now, you should be thinking about getting yourself a dedicated movie tracker. This is the movie tracker with most content, meaning that movies you don't find there, you won't find elsewhere (exception: If the movie "sucks" (IMBD under 5.0) you might find it on cinemageddon. ) Keeping a good ratio here is not too difficult.
BG/BCG These two are the best gaming trackers. I do not know what is best even though i have both. Some want BG because it is slightly easier to seed, and the staff on BCG is bitch at best. On both content and speed, i think BCG is slightly better.
TvT.com This is the best TV-series tracker. Not too hard to get, members get 3 invites each month.
MV This is the best, if not only tracker for music videos. Invites are over-average hard to get.
Hard to get
First, we will start off with a general tracker.
SCC Sceneaccess.org is a site that is hard to get on because invites usually costs 10$ each. SCC is a really great 0day tracker with maybe the best pretimes that is out there. Keeping a ratio is not too difficult, and they have an archive with FL.
Ftn This tracker was on the limit to not being added, but i think SwaS sums why you need it up pretty good. Pedro's/TT/ I am not on Pedro's, but many people says it's the best music tracker out there. If you like trance, TT is your choice.
ScT (down) It was the clearly best tracker on the internet, with all kind of content, and the best pre's, but obviously, that does not help us now.
HDbits.org Here is one tracker you won't get an invite to. They have permanently closed invites and signups. Your best chance will be to know a member IRL that don't want his account anymore. This tracker specializes on HD stuff.
BitMe This one is not too hard to get, but some may have some troubles finding an invite. This is the most popular E-learning tracker, and I have found tons of things that i didn't knew that i needed.
