how can i speed my downloads up ?
when i first downloaded bittorrent my downloads were pretty fast but now its taking 8hrs + to download. my down speed at the min is 1.2 KB/s
Im in the oppesite situation.
My download i god damn fast, and normally about 1.5 to 3 mb/s
But my upload speed, is so exceptionel slow, and feeling lucky if there just are some upload activity.
And this is from materiel there is only taken to seed & partseed from
Know that i can reset the utorrent settings by typing %appdata% and delete setting & settings.old in utorrent folder
Do a speedtest @ speedtest.net to determine your max download/upload speed.
Make sure to set your upload limit in uTorrent to 80-85% of your max upload speed. What might be happening is that you're seeding at your max upload speed, which chokes your downstream.
Also, in your torrent client, make sure it says you're connectable (e.g. green icon in the bottom of uTorrent).
first off, the torrent may be seeded badly. you could put up the seeders/leechers numbers in here.
or you are running too many torrents at the same time with you "limited" (read: bad/slow) internet speeds. too many torrents mean that utorrent sets some random priorities that you could change. no point in guessing. post your speeds and running torrents.
the more you tell, the more we know and it stops being a guessing game.
