    Default The hunt for 1080p & 720p...

Seeing as it may be a while before I ever get a chance to get into HDME, I was wondering if anyone out there could help with some suggestions. I'm looking for torrents very similar to the ones the PS3 team puts out on HDME which consists of 1080p & 720p movies compressed to 4 gigs and under. Are there any other trackers that distribute PS3 team torrents, or similar torrents of this nature? Thanks in advance! I HEART YOU GUYS!

I personally love HDME, they suprised me this weekend when they were the first I found to have the BTTF 50GB ISO Bluray rips. They keep getting better.

What makes you think it will be hard for you to get on? Being that im new, perhaps I can help you out :)

They've closed their invite system for the moment.

Sorry, user limit reached. Please try again later.
It'd help if I actually tried to make a code. LOL. Oh well, thoe my offer stands when they open it up again. I've personally been trying to get on CHDBits. So I guess were all in a simliar boat.

TO stay on topic, you could also try HD-Torrents.

One very useful tracker that has these has these small size HD rips is:
    kingdom-kvcd.net
It is an open forum based and ratio-less tracker.
Its the home of SecretMyth, and now several new encoders are coming up. File sizes range usually from 1.5-3GB and these are usually 720/1080p BR or BDrips.
For the size, they offer amazing quality.
I find this very useful to download not-so-great movies, as my bandwidth is rather poor.

Another new tracker that came specializing in BD/BRrips was tinboxtorrent.com but its temporarily down due to server issues. Its worth checking out as well.

Apart from these you can always try public/general trackers for releases by groups like FLAWL3SS, Santi, Vision, NewArtRiot and NPW.

PS. I have HDME invites but they have disabled it for the moment.

1080p below 4gigs? you are out of your mind.

720p on the other hand 2-4gigs is the norm. I download in 720p mostly for just that reason. I have a few 1080p rips that exceed 15GB's. lol, I am a quality freak though.

He wants them under 4 gigs so he can play them natively on his PS3 off a FAT formatted external HDD I'm guessing. Problem with that is you have to take in account that while the PS3 supports h264, it doesn't support the mkv container, so files must first be changed to a container that it does support like m2ts, which isn't as efficient as mkv and adds several hundred MBs.

So basically seems like you are looking for encodes made specifically for PS3 (via m2ts or mp4 container) or regular mkv encodes in the low 3.x gig range. I know the only encodes I have seen made specifically for the PS3 are from PS3team which you already mentioned. I personally tried doing a few myself and releasing them awhile back but decided it wasn't worth all the trouble just for PS3 compatibility and ended up just pluging my PC into my TV and using it for watching HD.

However, since the PS3 can play MP4 with h.264 and AAC audio, which is also the preferred HD format for devices like Apple TV and the iPad. So if you could find any trackers that cater to this content, chances are most of it would play on your PS3 as well.

    *edit*

Going on Demonoid and searching for "mp4" I found a ton of PS3 compatible torrents, might be worth checking out, or doing the same search as other trackers you have and see what comes up. Some of them might now mention being PS3 compatible in the description, but almost any MP4 should work as long as it's under 4 gigs, or 4.37 if you want to burn it to a DVD.

    *edit*
There were also lots of m2ts when I searched too, which are also compatible, but imo a shitty format compared to MP4. An MP4 at the same size as a m2ts will have superior bitrate due to the container taking up so much space.
