Invite Purchasing Amnesty

It has come to our attention that some members may have joined PtN by purchasing an invite in recent months.

Did you know that invites are free and are never, ever authorised to be sold by anyone, I personally am Old Skool when it comes to Warez, and warez was meant for sharing never for selling, even the release groups never charge for warez, it is only greedy middle men that try and take money from warez. Invite sellers, FTP axx sellers, the list is endless, but you get where I am coming from right?

OK, lecture over, PtN is free to join, everything we have is free for the members, you can donate to help run our server costs as without servers there would be no PtN, or other torrent sites. So, you can be here for years & years and never have to expend one penny and you the member can get exactly the same torrents as any staff member can get - all for nothing, just a bit of sharing is all we ask in return

So my question to you is easy "Did you pay for your invite?" If you did - Privately PM me in confidence (Pm me link ) and I will take care of you, create you a new user account here (under my invite tree) and give you an an invite so you can invite your friend for free, and funds permitting reimburse you your invite costs, I cannot be fairer than that can I?

What if you don't let me know? Well, we are getting together with other sites and jointly have caught many sellers, and will catch many more in the future, and when caught are shown no mercy nor remorse. Along with their inviter they are immediately banned along with their entire invite tree and permanently IP banned from PtN and other sites, your IP will be globally banned from torrenting - do not be fooled into thinking otherwise. So now you see why it is better to get out from under the invite tree of invite sellers - it is not the invite buyers we are after, you have been duped and conned into buying an invite because you did not know better, it is the invite sellers we are after, be aware - be warned - we are after you and we will catch you.

We do this for the safety & security of all our members, not to be vindictive or nasty, so please - think about where your invite came from and do the trustworthy thing - let me know if you bought it - thanks

wow they're cracking down hard. but why give amnesty to people who have bought invites if they are so sure they will catch them all?

Amnesty is to protect you when they ban an invite seller's invite tree. If they ban the seller all others under him will be banned, a global ban for all involved. For your protection, if anyone here has purchased their invite I highly suggest you PM the staff. You don't want to play around with a global ban, this kind of ban is when you get disabled on all of your trackers.

*Note* This is good info for PTN users, and everyone got the same announcement. But...

I suspect this has something to do with the post that was put up on FSF about trading/selling.
