So just when people were starting to celebrate the come back of what.cd from a major downtime, bunch of other gazelle trackers goes down! Surprising but true!
As far as I know, something happened at the common hosting provider (Toronto/Hamilton Dedicated Servers canada | cheap linux windows hosting - Carat Networks) of all the above mentioned trackers & many more!
Update #1: BTN's Back UP! :)
DON'T PANIC
Now that that's out of the way... yes, we know that last night we had a bit of downtime, of the tracker, IRC servers, and the website.
It was nothing major - we suffered a power outage which corrupted the database. We restored from a < 1 hour old backup, and now everything should be fine.
We'll be keeping a close eye on things to make sure we don't have any further problems, but rest assured, we're not going anywhere.
Thanks,
predakanga
Update #2: TehConnections's back too! :)
Update #3: TorrentVault is UP Now!
Update #4: PTP's Back!Earlier today there was a power outage at our website ISP Carat Networks
Our website and all services were down due to this but the tracker is back online and if you leave your torrents in your clients as seeding it will count it when it updates even if the tracker was offline.
We apologize for the issues even though they were out of our control
Thanks for understanding

Update #5: GGz & Delish Tracker back OnlineYesterday, our host suffered a power outage. This caused the brief outage of several sites, however ours was more prolonged (approximately 30 hours). This resulted in us catching a kernel configuration error that had gone unnoticed until now. This is why we have taken a little longer than other sites to recover from this down time, as they only had to do some simple file checking.
J and Remy have spent a lot of their time fixing this problem, so please thank them for their great work on this! A quick thanks to everyone else who has helped consult with this issue, you know who you are. The best news is that we have suffered zero data loss, all of the torrents and stats are intact!
Some more good news: As you can see, we are currently almost at 50% of our donation total for the month! A big thanks to all who have donated thus far!
The tracker is now up and fully functional! Also, we have increased the user cap to 20,000!
Use those invites! From this point on, every time we reach the user cap we will be evaluating the load of the user base on the site, and increasing the cap as we see fit. We will make a statement within a couple of days of hitting the cap to keep you updated.
[GazelleGames]All site issues have been fixed. No data was lost due to the down time. I can confirm that the problems were related to a DDoS directed towards our hosts, Carat and that the majority of the problem has now been resolved with null-routing. I'd like to take this opportunity to reassure all members that even in the event of a more serious issue with our hosts, we make our own 24-hourly backups that are mirrored on two separate dedicated servers.
Your contributions here are always appreciated and insured. Thanks everyone!
