when we talk about public trackers, piratebay is so far the best for me. Almost all contents in demonoid is with piratebay i guess.
Along with TPB (thepiratebay) i would also consider BTjunkie plenty of stuff, and then isohunt, though in isohunt there are plenty of malwares,trojans, etc etc,
in btjunkie and tpb as well though less, as things are more controlled, and there are more comments and warnings from users which help out a lot sometimes to avoid infected files.
But as mentioned above why go public when you can easily have 2-3 BIG private trackers (like IPT,TL).
If however you can't find something on privates, then the 3 sites mentioned above should offer an alternative.
You can also consider BitChe which is a program that searches on many public (and few private trackers/sites) and gives you the results for you to download.
Pretty helpful at times.

Things look suspicious when looked at with suspicion.
KickAssTorrents and Demoniod are likely the premier public trackers around. I don't really see the need to use use them. I mean you're in this community so you have some of the best opportunities available to get into some amazing private trackers.
btjunkie is good.
but public tracker only have popular torrent.

its easy to slag off Demonoid when ppl have moved to private trackers :001_smile:
but for most of the newcomers to torrenting its one of the best source, it has all the new stuff(most of em anyways) and the seeding rate is pretty good too,and not just for newer torrents, i have downloaded lots of older stuff from there..
the anime torrents are my fav in it.

Also, Isohunt is not a torrent tracker. :001_tongue:
I think demonoid is the best public tracker - if it's called public tough! Semi-public let's say..
Mininova is following demonoid according to me slightly after.
Like demonoid more than mininova tough.
TPB but isohunt if you are looking for public only. But Demonoid is a good starter semi-private site.
EZTV is excellent for recent TV-Series.
RARBG is good for recent Movies and Games.
btjunkie or torrentz are good search engines.
I would also recommend installing Adblock Plus (firefox addon) while browsing public trackers.
