Thread: Blackcats New referrals Policy.

As reported previously in another thread the referrals on BCG have now closed 3 days before schedule.



The Sysops have introduced new and frankly harsh system for people who didn't meet the previous credentials for referrals.


Here's a direct Copy and Paste of the new rules.

Requirements:

- at least a member for 6 months
- no HnRs
- up to 2 "seeded HnRs"
- actual ratio of 0.5 <-- this may be changed sometime depending on the number of requests
- none of your old referrals may be Kitty Litter or worse (banned, etc.).
- not more than 1 orphaned account or unused account (ie. referred someboy into the site and that person doesn't even have a single torrent downloaded)
- 1 referral per month (with special announced days adding up the usual count....like birthdays or whatever)
- not too many warnings in your history <-- This can only be checked by staff
- 30 completed torrents
- Having said thanks on your torrents.
- 10 days average seeding time OR several uploaded torrents
- have at least a few forum posts....so that this request is NOT your first. And those post should be from the month BEFORE this request takes place. -------> changed to at least 35 spread in a good manner, ie. not all from last month or last week when you decided to get referrals via requesting.

Warning
If you don't meet the requirements while posting then you will not get any referral.
If too many people think they can try the lame "But my friend really wants to join yet I'm here only for x months", "I will seed them back later on", "My dog ate my HDD"crap or whatever excuse people can find for not meeting the requirements I will also hand out warnings or even worse some punishments on your DL.
Those requirements are easy to look up in your details page and this topic will be OPEN until the system is updated. So there is practically NO time limit. I repeat for the slower people: NO TIME LIMIT TO THIS OFFER.
As for the warnings you have received as a member on BCG. Staff still has the option to deny a request. This topic is not meant for a discussion. So only post the request and nothing else. If it's a Yes...be happy. If it's a No...don't ask why.

Personally i feel the older system got some good new members into the site and should of been maintained on a smaller scale but that's just my 2 cents.

Wow they really went pretty hardcore with this didn't they? I thought with their last referral program, they were trying to get in alot more members? Now this program seems to contradict that?

those new requirements are really harsh. That would force members now to use their BCG account in the best way possible and to be careful of whom they're inviting. This new system would really filter those wanting to be part of it.

Dude, this is not harsh requirements. This is the original requirements from before. Nothing changed much. I really appreciate this, and this is true referal. Live it, Love it, Learn. The best way to get good members and appreciate the facts.

This schizophrenia is typical of the BCG admin. One month he is totally paranoid about site security and the quality of the members and the next month he goes totally "OMG we don't have enough members, let's get in new people as fast as possible!!!111".

I give it half a year before he'll just hand out half a dozen referals to almost everyone again.

There not the same mate.It says the old system will be back in place for referrals and then people who don't qualify for that can apply in the thread and if they meet those requirements they can get referrals.

The forums posts thing is a bit harsh.It's basically dead even the sysops admit it.35 posts is a bit excessive to people who dont use the forums in general because there's nothing useful to post in them.

The new requirements are, and look at your achievement tables for this.

Torrents with a Global Ratio of 1 >= 50
Torrents with an Actual Ratio of 1 >= 25
Torrents with an Actual Ratio of 1.5 >= 10
Torrents with an Actual Ratio of 2 >= 5
Your own uploaded torrents, this encompasses requests filled and own torrents in your table >= 2
Average Seeding Time >= 10 days
Member 6 months
50 gig downloaded
Actual Ratio of .5

This is clearly meaningless!!They had given referrals to everyone just last month freely and all the bad elements would have already entered the site.So whats the use of making the inviting rules harsh now???they should have done this some 2 months back!!
