Thread: What and Waffles

I'm a member of Waffles and i was just curious about the forum of what.cd.

How does the PU forum of what.cd compare to waflles counterpart? i.e in chat, atmosphere, tracker recruitment and invite, etc

I`m a new member on Waffles,and It`s SO HARD to keep a good ratio there..even if my Internet Service is pretty good.

Do I have to make some special settings in the uTorrent?

I downloaded 3 albums `til now,and no chance of making upload on`em.

Not even on the new Eminem album,with 185 Peers.

there are no special settings for utorrent
try to upload something until you have points to buy freeleech and then download

this dont belong to this topic so i will be very short... i dont have a good ISP but i somehow managed to survive, because i was uploading FLAC torrents. If you dont have any try checking on some of your trackers and then upload it on Waffles. ;)

Or just grab stuff here and there, and try to cross-seed as much as you can. I am a member of both sites and I must say it's pretty tough to maintain a good ratio, even with decent connection. I have a 15/1M and a 50/25M connection, on both 24/7 seeding more than (watch out that's gonna hurt) ~500 GBs of FLAC. And even this way I did not reach the 500GB up limit.
Back to topic: I consider Waffles more decent when it comes to lossless, because their waffle iron staff is working really hard to check the excellent quality flac uploads. However, What for sure has a f-ing greater selection of music, and even the requests feature is being used to death, unlike on waffles. On what, it happened more than a few times that my 100% flac requests have been filled in less than an hour!! But to be sure: get both, you never know what will happen to a tracker.

With over double the members, it's not surprising to find that What's PU forum is much more active than Waffles', yet seemingly less spam-filled. However, most of the discussion seems to be drug or girlfriend related. As for invites/recruitment, there are only a couple of well-known trackers that can't be found. If you're looking to get into a tracker, What is your gateway.

I would suggest checking out "The Shed" in the forums. There's a stickied guide that should help your ratio. The easiest method is to upload your own torrents by either ripping your own CDs or transcoding FLACs. One of my invitees actually uploaded some comics that weren't there, gaining a lot of upload for himself.

Or, you could also go the seedbox route, but it's generally better to actually contribute something of value to the community.

I think you only need What.cd. Because anything that you are looking for you will find it in What.cd and if What.cd doesn't have it and the chance that waffles will have it is not possible. But Waffles does have a smaller and great community. What also has a great community, but a little too big IMO.

I'd agree that What.cd is enough. Just finding stuff to upload on that site has been a chore.
