    Anyhow more users means more activity. More activity means more donations. More donations mean more hookers and booze.....oh, and a slight server tweak maybe? I'm not apart of BCG yet, this might be an excellent time to get in.
    sorry about that, wasnt trying to spam. My wireless adapter freaks out at times, so I have to disconnect, and reconnect, and i wasnt sure if my post went through. I was afk the entire day, and i now saw that it went though both times, so i deleted one. I never spam, so please don't accuse me of this.

    Now on topic, I completely agree with Takayama. The first thing that went through my mind as well was "bcg probably needs donations". This appears to be a prominent problem for all top trackers, and is a major threat to their survival.

    I think desperate is a bit of a strong word for the title maybe a job in an english tabloid newspaper for you! haha.

    This revelation has quite frankly astounded me.The fake website security the strict referrals policy and the tight knit community of bcg completely contrast with user members being given 5 -10 referrals.

    It is most definately to do with money,the constant competitions donation drives and the talk of ads on the website is that the website needs money.
    It seems as if the top guys have had to cut off the nose to spite their face on this one,the simple fact is that the site must have been running in the red.
    The admins have decided to pour new members into the site in hope of achieving some sort of decent income but one of the main probs is the lack of donations benefits and people will tend to give to sites they use on a daily basis like a scene tracker rather than one that hotts up in activity in the winter when new games come on the scene.
    also they are trialing other formats than games by user upload which could lead in a branching out from exclusively games but it is blatently clear that BCG is trying to make the site more open and solvable.

    There's my 2 cents anyway just on a note im a BCG member and love it anyone who is into there games try get an invite now because this opportunity is once in a lifetime and soon everybody will be again clambouring for a elusive bcg invite.

    Sorry engineer, it meant to be a friendly pointer, not an accusation. Sorry if I came off like that. I hope you get your internet problems sorted out, it sounds very troublesome.

    So even if they did need donations isn't nearly 200,000 invites out there a bit much? I mean what made them consider so many invites were needed? I heard some were taken back but these numbers are so surprising for a such well built private tracker.
    Retired and happy :)

    I agree. 200k is more than enough. But knowing how strict the mods are, they'll probably disable more than half the users in the near future.

    They gave people about 200k in referrals that doesn't mean anywhere near that many people will get invites. I would bet the people who aren't members on a forum like this (or one of the PU/Elite invite forums on trackers like what.cd/waffles/bitmeTV etc) are unlikely to average more then 1 invite per person not to mention they can always put a user cap if they want. It seems they want to refresh their membership (and true maybe get some donations, though the fact they gave everyone a 20gb buffer doesn't scream donate now) and get to maybe 50k members or so, I think they decided they kept the invites to tight to the vest and decided then rather then open it up slowly get a quick drive going and fix it fast (and like was said before prune the bad seeds over the next few weeks).

    Anyway that's just my 2 cents :)

    Default Totally Agree!

    BlackCats ADMIN:
    "It is either do this, or open up, but we still may open up regardless.
    I have just gave 10 referrals each to members with the achievements off.
    Global 1 >= 25
    Actual 1 >= 15
    Actual 1.5 >= 6
    Actual 2 >= 2
    Average Seeding time 4 days
    Torrents uploaded = 0
    Member 3 Months
    Downloaded 15 gig
    So that is 187,225 referrals out there to be used.
    Now the changes.

    • You now have 6 hours to use the referral from generating it
    • I have took away the punishment where if the referee goes into KL the referer cant download for 24 hours.
    • I "think" but not sure as i couldnt really find it, I just hope its in with the rest of the code that i commented out, that the Download gigs punishment has also been removed.
    • Manual warning are still in place, more on these below.

    Amnesty until the 31st June.
    You CAN give these away anywhere you like, we want members after all.
    Trading, a part of me wants to allow it, but another part of me doesnt, so do this at your own risk, its not really an amnesty, but if you get caught you may get punished still.
    Trading Accounts, Selling Referrals/Accounts is STILL an Automatic ban,
    Inviting a cheater, may still get you in trouble from Cirno, so you still have to be relatively careful (I will have to speak to Cirno regarding this, or he can post in here with his say).
    Referee Bonus:
    Users give their referrals 20 gig
    VIPs give their referals 20 gig
    New members need to download 20 gig and have less than a 0.4 ratio to get leechwarned (or the hit and runs of course to go into KL) but hopefully, because they get such a good startup bonus, and the auto punishments are off (well 1 definately is, the other not sure) then not many, unless they download a big pack as their first torrent, will get into trouble.
    Lets see if we can get more than the usual 1000-2000 members in, in the next month or so, like i said 187,225 in the system, so plenty to go around.
    PS: If you think 10 is too much, tough, just dont use them, you will not be getting anything instead of them.
    PPS: I changed the values of stuff, so some things may not work as planned, if they dont, just post in here the problem and we will look into it.
    PPPS: You still need the BOH to actually use them, that is somewhere else in the code and I did not change that part, BOH = No hit and runs."

    As you can see, blackcats is only in need of of alittle more then the usual 1000-2000 members. Hmm.. Maybe 3000-5000 members. They are plenty to go around, but not all of them is going to be used. I am pretty sure the admin will put strict force on new comers and will be checking in regardless. They will check account transers, sellers and cheaters. I only offered invites becuase of the supposedly amnesty period. I hope my invite's will prosper and work good as a team. You look good. I look good. More invites to go around? It was really strict to get a referal and I was striving to the best. I made 6 months about a couple of weeks ago, had 1 referal. About to use it, then taken away. Then I was blessed with 10 many. Speeds are awesome at the site, and even for low seeds.

    I honestly dont see a need to accuse of such a great site with money problems, and other stuff. But who knows, I might me looking blind! Its a great elite site. So you see 3000-5000 members this month. Maybe when it reaches the qouta of 5000 members, who knows, they will take away the invites and all 182,225 will be lost. Well If I do bring in a good 10 people. I would say I covered at least .25% of the required people that would be awesome in this tracker. Thats why i screen applicants throughly, and is not putting this tracker at risk? Good Day!

    I have a few more invites! Please Apply!

    I do think they have a money issue. The site did not say it directly, but the raffle was changed and extended. And the server had some problem last week. So anything is possible.

    I hold a slightly different opinion about it. 187,225 , it is just a number that stoi made public, which was supposed to reflect the stats of number of users joining and number of slots available. Just look at whatcd userbase ~125K, then multiply the number of power users/elites and VIP's with the number of invites given to them. It turns out to be a huge amount, and those invites are 'always' in circulation. I also disagree to the point that why not have open sign-ups rather than giving tons of referrals, we are missing an important point here that when you invite someone you are responsible for that users behavior/actions. It excludes out possibilities of scammers/cheaters to a certain extent. Also, much of the userbase isn't part of invite forums where they can invite users through GA's and look around how many of us have real life friends who you can invite to trackers. I think that BCG is just trying to have a userbase which is purely dedicated to games. If we go back to the time when whatcd started ~10000 users were given 10 invites each, and look where it is today. I can presume that BCG is going to prune loads of inactive/collector accounts in the coming months.The only effect that I see that it will move down a few place in those useless tracker levels, and it might be moved down from mid-level to low-level. But , heh,aren't we matured enough. As regarding donations or email, password phising, If you don't trust a tracker than why join it in the first place. A site needs donations to stay alive and it is always a users choice to donate or not. Stoi is one of the most reasonable and mature sysops that I know in BT. Moreover any capable sysop(who runs a tracker like BCG) can easily earn more money than they are accused of earning from donation by putting in same amount of time in some job or business.
    ......it is just my humble opinion.
