You make an excellent point. My FTN request was the first to ever be filled at T-I... actually the first to ever be given here at all. As soon as it was filled, an entire page of FTN requests opened up, and old requests (older than mine I'm afraid) suddenly were being avidly bumped. So yes, a filled request for an in demand tracker will definitely encourage users to make more requests. Couple that with the urge to belong to an exclusive community, and people will line up in droves, begging for invites.

So, for the sake of discussion, if it wasn't for the fact that it was ratioless, where would you rather download movies. PTP or FTN?

PTP, hands down.

probably at PTP but usually prefer the quality of the movie over where i download it

I just joined PTP - everything seems rather "very" well organized, but I'm still exploring. Seems friggin hard to seed too!

FYI, HDahoy seems to have an unlimited PTP invites giveaway thread here (though I haven't checked this out for myself). Users applying for an invite must have uploaded at least 1 movie there...

As does the what poweruser forum, I guess Ill have to check it out!

Interesting. Thanks guys and gals. I think TheLetterZ is correct about this one. Seems like the pattern indeed exists. After MikeD filled dreamlite's FTN request, numerous members have started to bump their FTN threads. Just knowing there are invites available makes other members follow in droves.

I also understand people have this natural tendency to want something that is difficult to obtain. Compound that with all the feedbacks from high-repped members and good reviews, really does make members wonder what the heck is going on in that tracker. Yes, PTP is still fairly easy to get if you're PU+ at certain trackers, but the simplest way seems to be asking for an invite here.

I don't know about other people, but I find more satisfaction to get the invite on my own unless there is absolutely no way of obtaining it other than through T-I. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the works of T-I and I have given quite a bit back to this community, but I especially like being at the top of my invite tree. Anyways, cheers and thanks for the replies.
