Thanks for sharing LoadedM8. I truly think this is absolute garbage, its total utter nonsense. I believe that this system isn't going to work, no matter what people are eventually going to find a way through these things whether it be hack into other people's connections, using proxies, IP hiding programs, etc. Some innocent people are going to get the blame and sooner or later they are going to get removed, this is like what the gaming company did well similar, i can't remember which one but in order to play the game you had to be online the whole time regardless of if you were playing single player and then the pirated copy allowed you to play it normally so it didn't only affect the customers that genuinely bought the product but encouraged piracy. There will be a way around this and if not internet providers all around the UK or possibly the world if this gets implemented elsewhere are going to lose customers fast and inevitably the restrictions are going to be removed. What is there best chance i think is blocking the sites themselves but torrent sites and file sharing ones increase dramatically and more and more come out, the harder they try the more sites are going to pop out. Well im happy that this isn't in Australia yet and when it comes if it comes im continuing my filesharing until i atleast get 2 warning =).

This is truly unfortunate. With all systems, there is going to be some loophole. Fear not, VPN and seedbox companies will certainly enjoy the extra business, providing us with services that work around these draconian laws.

Watched a video on this subject. It showed that most parents don't know what their children are downloading and when they examined five families downloads they discovered that all the children were illegally downloading. If they bring in this system, there won't be anyone left in the UK with internet access! LOL

Nothing against the UK, in a short time they won't use the internet anymore.

Why do these guys keep trying? It's like the Tech illiterate politicians are finagled by big business (under the table money), and than pass some law that does nothing at all.

Take China as a more extreme comparative example. They filter the web content. But people just use proxy software.

I really dont understand why the businesses and govts behind such actions cant seem to realise that the problem is not the way piracy is being done, but why its being done. These new regulations wont deter that many pirates, there is always a way around them. Always!
They are just trying to put out small fires while a huge blaze is going on behind them.
If what they say is true, that 50% of all traffic is p2p, maybe they should take the hint that people dont want to pay the prices they are charging.
So they should either reduce the prices drastically, or give the media away for free and make money from radio stations, tv, award shows, concerts, hi-def feeds via sattelite, 3d only releases, etc..
They're just too greedy and the politicians are being fed nicely by these fat companies.
