Default what to do with unused trackers?

I am sure everyone here has or had similar problem :) At some point, you just have too much trackers with basically same content. What do you do with accounts you are not using anymore? Do you just forget about them and they are deleted for inactivity? Or do you ask site admins to delete them, since you are no longer using them? The reason I am asking is because I do have good ratios on those trackers and I don't want to leave them in a bad way. After all, they did help me get content I wanted at the time :)

Some trackers staff can't be bothered to take the steps needed to delete an unused account. They would rather wait until the programming in the system takes care of it. Ie inactivity for 2 months or something like that.

So it would be perfectly polite just stopping using you account? I don't want to bother anyone, just trying to figure out the appropriate way to go about solving this problem :)

I always use my confirmed accounts but if there will be a problem with one of them I would ask the staff to delete it.

I would either ask staff to delete then let them close due to inactivity. :)

I would just do this. If you aren't going to use it, just let it be and it will take care of itself. That's why I would only have a handful of trackers to worry about; one that specializes in what I need like music/games/movies/etc.

The rule of thumb would be to not take an invitation to a tracker just to have the tracker. Chances are if you already have similar trackers then one is going to fall by the wayside. And then you are forced with a dilema. Don't make your new trackers like some kids puppies at christmas. used for the first two months them forgotten. No walks/ no attention :)
