I know there's already a "have you got a DMCA letter" thread, but I'd like to see what tracker you were using for the torrent you got nailed on.
Personally I've received two, one from a torrent using several public trackers (had that one coming...) and one from a torrent using Demonoid (might as well be public).
none yet. Knock on wood. I have only used public on a couple occasions though.
I have never received any myself since my ISP's tell them to piss off. But i have several friends that have received letters in the past - all off TPB before it got neutered.
Hasdiel, demonoid indexes external torrents with public trackers so it may not necissary have been a demonoid torrent that earned you that notice. (although it very well could have).
I haven't recieved any DMCA notices, although, years ago my ISP suspended my account for sharing nortan anti-virus after they recieved threats from
Nortan. That was back when I had dialup... Damn that was a long time ago.
