    Default Vuze vs µTorrent

Which torrent client do you think is better and why? If you know any better ones you can post them here too. I just want to know which one would be the best to use.

Ofcourse uTorrent. It is the most used bt client because it's lightweigh, fast and doesn't eat a lot memory.

I used to be hardcore azureus and then they added all the Bloated Vuze crap to it, stuck with the older versions of azureus for along time. recently joined a tracker that didn't allow Vuze or Azureus and so having seen utorrent around tried it out. Talk about a complete 360. My vote goes to utorrent, here is a brief description of both

    Azureus

Azureus is a powerful open source BitTorrent client with a huge amount of features and support for 3rd party plugins. It recently evolved into Vuze - a p2p (peer-to-peer) network of high quality video content - but you are still able to use the classic Azureus interface if you wish so.

Azureus requires Java Runtime Enviroment (JRE). This is good because it can run on any operating system that supports JRE, and it is bad because Java-based Azureus uses quite a lot of system resources. Many people say that Azureus downloads faster than uTorrent, but tests have been conflicting so far and there's no definite conclusion.

    utorrent

uTorrent is a lightweight and efficient torrent downloader. It is closed source, which Azureus fans are quick to point out as a big flaw (it's possible for the uTorrent developers to add anything they want to the program, such as DRM protection, or copyright breach reporting, without the users' knowledge). There's also no plugin support, and it has less features than Azureus (but still more than you will probably ever need).

Unlike Vuze client, uTorrent is not Java-based. This is good because uTorrent is really small, fast, and uses very little CPU and RAM. This is bad because uTorrent can only run on Windows and not Linux or any other operating system (no cross-platform support is in yet). There is no doubt that uTorrent is faster than Azureus when it comes to the program itself; on the other hand, various Azureus and uTorrent speed comparison tests have shown different results, so it's not clear which torrent client can produce higher download speeds
JustJenna, TankGirl, Forbidden have passed muster ;)

Just for info Vuze is being banned on some trackers.

I used Azureus a long time ago, before they added all this crap to it. But once I actually found uTorrent I've never even thought about using anything else. It leaves a TINY memory footprint and has all the stuff you need. It's not really a hard decision.

Thanks to Freedom for repping me in.
